Time to get some advice on ADR planning!

I planned a trip for May 8-11 kinda last minute! Or at least last minute for Disney planning!

I was able to get all of the FPs I wanted (woo-hoo), but of course not as much luck with my ADRs. And then, with the new ROLs attraction I'm having a hard time deciding on how to do dinner that night!

So with all that said, here are my dilemmas:
1. I want BOG for our MK night, but as you all know that's a long shot at this point. Although I hold out hope that people who may have multiple ADRs as they figure out their plans may cancel a few days before their trip as they figure out their schedules, or someone will cancel the night before to avoid the $10/pp cancellation fee. So my back up plan is to do Jungle Skipper Canteen at around 7:35, but that will be tight with our last FP and we don't even get to the park until 3:00 or 4:00 that day so it will drastically cut into park time. But I was able to get a 9:45 'Ohana so took that ADR. That seems really late for such a heavy dinner! But we are 2 adults and it's nice in that we don't waste any park time and I want to visit Trader Sams that night too. So I think I'm going to keep that reservation, but does anyone know if the food will be fresh at that hour or if we'll get leftover dried out meat since it's near closing?? And if I can find a tad bit earlier at 9:30, does that give us enough time to get to Poly after the fireworks? I'm thinking no?

2. I really want to do Flying Fish on our AK day, also planning another late night dinner. But I haven't seen ROLs yet so that's a must! I've never eaten at FF but want to do a seafood place. But the latest reservation I can get at FF is 9:25 and there's no way to get from AK to FF by 9:25 with ROL scheduled for 9:15! I wish there was an 8:00 ROL that day, but it's not showing on the schedule. So, I can plan my AK day to start early, then we can leave and go to FF, and then back to AK for ROL. I hate the back and forth but that's do-able. Or I can do a late night dinner at Bluezoo since I can get a 10:00 reservation there. Again, that's really late but we are just 2 adults. The only con to that plan is if I do FF, Ohana, Jiko, and Kona for breakfast, plus throw in one TS lunch or a couple QA breakfasts since our dinners are so late, the DDP may be worth the cost. And I can't do the DDP with Bluezoo...hmmmmm

So, that's a long post just to see what other people think!!! Thanks!!!

There is no way I would do FF on an AK day. First, it's not very good (IMHO) and when we went, it took 3 hours . . . If that's the ONLY day you can do a seafood dinner, consider the Boathouse. Far better and service is faster. Personally, I would ditch FF and make an ROL dining package reservation at Tiffins. It's great and you don't have to leave the park.

Personally, I wouldn't want to eat dinner that late at night. If you want BOG, you may want to try the Touring Plans dining finder. I've been pretty successful getting hard-to-get ADR's through their service. If you end up going to Poly after the MK fireworks, I would probably just go to Trader Sam's and make a dinner out of their appetizers - they are quite large!

I just checked out the Boathouse menu and it does look great! And there are a couple bars I want to check out at Disney Springs! I definitely do not want a 3 hour dinner, even if FF was good, but sounds like you'd definitely not call it good! Have you tried BlueZoo? If so, what are your thoughts compared to the Boathouse?

My problem with my AK day is that right now we have a tour from 7:30 - 11:30 A.M at the park and I have FPs starting right after that. And I just don't see us having enough to do at AK all the way until ROLs. So that's why I thought a break for dinner would be good and then come back for ROL. But, to make things complicated, I'm trying to change that tour to one at the AKL that would be 7:00 - 11:00 A.M. If I get that switched then I like the idea of getting to AK around 2:00 and doing dinner there and ROLs, or even doing dinner after. But I probably won't know if anyone cancels from the tour I really want at AKL until a couple days before when people can't get a refund if they cancel. About Tiffin's...we have a Jiko reservation the next night. I kind of felt like the flavors at Tiffin's are too similar to Jiko's? Do you think?

I want BOG because the person I'm with has never been and would like to try it. I think it's a good atmosphere but the food was not very good. And with us getting there around 3:00 or 4:00 it's not much park time to waste 2 hours for a meal. But, I assumed the food at TS would be small, especially if we're eating so late. I may have to think about that option. The person I'm traveling with has no problem with 10:00 dinners - LOL! I usually eat late so 8:00 - 9:00 is not uncommon. 10:00 is pushing it for me as well, but we do plan on exploring some bars so it's not like we're going to bed right after so there's that!
