I've been dabbling with Ebay but now its time to get serious. I have got to clean out my inventory before yard sale season starts up again! LOL
I usually list so my auctions end on Sunday and/or Monday nights. Since I want to do more, should I list so I have things ending every night or are some nights better than others?

I really need to crank things out. What do you think??? Thanks!

I find that starting and ending on Sunday has been the best. It is also nice to have just one day that everything ends on. Less to keep track of. I list on Sunday and mail out on Tuesday.

What time do you usually end your auctions at? I just listed with a 7pm PST end time, which would be 10 EST (which is my time zone).

I usually go back and forth on Mondays and Weds. I end them at 10pm est and this seems to do well for me. I thought about ending them at 11pm est, but am not sure if I want to stay up that late LOL. Good Luck on your auctions!

I have things end Sun. Mon, Tues and Wed. Mondays I find to be the best, as that is the biggest battling time at the end of auction for me. I also list between 10-11 EST, so that I cover all coasts as best possible!

I say do 7-8pm PST. This stays within prime time for the East Coast and is after dinner hours/work hours for the west coast.

I find that ending and starting between 6-10pm est is great for both coasts. Most people that go away for the weekend come in time to make those last minute bids.

I find that during the week, less people will be on because of extra curricular activities (basketball/karate/cooking dinner/homework... etc.) At least I know I do~

The Mariner of the Seas is AWESOME!!! Have a great time. I was just on her in November!

Sort of off topic...but is there a list on DIS of people's ebay seller names? I'd like to support someone's Disney habit if I can. :earboy2:

Don't forget Easter is coming up on the 27th so you may want to avoid having listings end that night. Although the EBay calendar I have doesn't show it as a problem.

Mine is the same as my username here.

So does everyone here feel the general consensus is to end on Sun and Mon nights around 10pm est?

This site shows only Sunday and Thursday nights as being good ending times. I have found Thursdays to be horrible. That is a big TV night and I always figured that was why. I also find Tuesday and Wednesday to do just as well as Sunday and Mondays are ROCKIN'! But then again I mostly sell childrens clothing, so that might be why.

I agree with this, obviously!

Also, it is a HUGE help to get a listing service. I use one and my auctions look awesome and I know that is why I am doing so much better with my auctions from when I first started. The one I use costs $7 a month with no minimums. So, you could get one for just one month, get your stuff listed and stop using it.

Can I say which one I use on here? If not, then PM me

When I first started listing I used turbolister (which I still do) and I would use all the fancy backgrounds and colors and such (templates). But then I realized how much that was costing me per listing so I stopped. I would like to use something though to make my listings more attractive.
I don't see why you can't say what you use. I imagine the mods will just delete it if you can't. PM me if you want.

If its ok to post this I use Seller Sourcebook (8.00/mth) and only suscribe for the month that I am going to be using it and then cancel it if I don't plan on listing for the next month, etc... They don't list it for you (I use TurboLister too), but they do give you a spot where you just click to copy your code and then copy again into TL.

HTH!

My ebay name is mommycookie!

I have been using Auction Boutique for listings. It costs just $3.95 a month and hosts up to 100 mb of picture space ( you can get more mb for a higher price, but there probably is no need to). You can view their many different templates before purchasing the monthly service. There website is auctionboutique.com (hope that I can put this here).

I also like to end listings on Wed. or Thurs. nights anytime after 8pm.

Hi,
I use Sparedollar - it is 4.95/month and it does have templates you can use (or you can use your own) - it holds 50 mg of photos (I have tons on there and haven't filled it up yet) and the best thing is that you can SCHEDULE auctions with Sparedollar! So get your auctions ready during day, middle of night, whenever - then set it up to start at whatever time you want it to - you don't have to be home to launch them. That alone is well worth the price! You can try Sparedollar for one month free to see if you like it - then if you like it, they just bill you 4.95 a month and you pay via Paypal - nice and easy! Sparedollar also gives referral credit, so if anyone is interested in trying it - sign up using this link and if you decide to stay with it, I'll get a month free! :sunny:

My ebay selling name is the same as my disboard name - polkadotladybug -

PM me if you have any questions!

Thanks!
