Hi y'all

Help me settle an ongoing debate please :rotfl:

When you see a 'x minutes to disney' quoted from offsite accommodation, where is the finishing line?

DW thinks its where the main overhead disney sign is on World drive that you pass under. Me - Im not so sure!

Thanks for your help! :thumbsup2

Im with your wife im afraid I always believe it is the Sign that officially declares you are on Disney property !!
I always ask the question - how long will it take to Animal Kingdom rather than how long till disney - iyswim x

You will be quoted for whichever bit of Disney property is closest to where you are staying. So yes, the main sign would probably be it.

Yes, those advertising offsite accommodation will want to report the shortest distance possible, so it's always going to be the closest part of WDW property to the accommodation in question, rather than some universally agreed central point. Even then, some stretch the truth.

A useful technique is to use google maps and see yourself how far away it is from "disney" this will be the disney point closest and then estimate how much longer it will take to get from there to the TTC

I agree that a lot of the private villas or off site hotels do tend to stretch the truth a little. We have stayed in a few different villas now and have never been able to make it to the parks in the time that was stated in the advert.
Personally I would say that most are using whatever the nearest park is to them, or if not that then maybe World Drive.
