Last time I traveled I checked my luggage in at the resort and was picked up by the town car 3 hours before my flight. I somehow got lucky at security and was basically at the gate more than 2 hours before my flight. I know security at MCO generally takes much longer so I would not count on that again.

I have an 11:30am flight and got TSA pre-check a few months ago... if I check in my luggage at the resort, and use a town car, what time do you think I should leave my resort? I'm wondering if 2 hours ahead of flight would be sufficient between being dropped right off, not dealing with luggage, and going through the pre-check line.

I’d do it, but many others will say .. possible traffic, accident or delays encounter, mco not always quick even with TSA pre ( which I love)
I d still do it ..

I'm thinking 2 hours for us, as well. We have pre-check and will do RAC.

For me, I leave three hours prior. Mco is a madhouse and you cannot absolutely rely on pre being quiet.

And the roads to get to the airport can be crazy, too.

I like mco when I’m not in a hurry, so I prefer to get there nice and early so I don’t have to rush and can take my time before and after security (which is awful at mco, even with pre).

I always out the door heading to the airport at 3. I’ve Been caught too many times on the road, running to the gate. It’s not pleasant.

Midday/late morning is a really busy time for flights. In your situation, I'd say leave Disney 2 1/2 hours before your flight. Admittedly, I have not had the crazy security experiences some have, but I usually take the last flight of the day home. When I've arrived late morning, I've seen some very long security lines.

I would still give yourself 3 hours IMO. Security can be nuts there and I've had several experiences now of being in the security line 1 to 1 1/2 hours. While it stinks to be stuck in the airport the stress of whether or not you are going to make it isn't worth the extra hour.

We use RAC and have TSA PreCheck and never leave Disney more than 2 hours before our flight, even when we leave at 5:00 on a work day. We've still had at least an hour at our gate every single trip. Our norm is to call for Uber 2 hours before we leave

3 hours seems right to me, but I tend to stress about those types of things. :guilty: We’ve been using DME for the most part, so that timing goes with the territory. I’d do the same even if we had a rental though. And we have TSA Pre-Check too. (I know I drive my family crazy that way, but they’re stuck with me!)

And do watch the new times boards for TSA (at least on the Jet Blue side?). When we arrived last November, posted time was 45 minutes. We sat down & ate the EOS sandwiches purchased with the last of our QS credits and by the time we were done, wait time was 8 minutes. Breezed right through
