What time does the Fort's official day start?

I know that some people have said that they've gotten into their campsite as early as 2am.

Is that considered the previous night or the next morning?

When the Fishing Report gets posted on the Camping Community Board, :lmao:

your welcome.

However, one might argue that the day starts when Mickey and Minnie and the chosen family sprinkle Pixiedust at the Magic Kingdom when the rope drops each day.

:confused3

You can check in at any time. However, they do not have to give you a site assignment until 1pm the day of your scheduled check-in.

Example: Arrival date 7/1. You get there at 2am on 7/1 and go to the check-in desk. They will check you in, give you a phone number to call later, tell you when you may call that number for your site assignment and they may or may not let you stay in the guest parking lot until you get your site assignment. Your best bet if think you'll be arriving in the wee hours of the morning of your check in date is to either stay at another campground or hotel when you arrive, get some shut eye, and go to the Fort around 7am to check in. At that time you will get no hassles about being parked in the guest lot, you can enjoy breakfast at one of the resorts or other restaurants in the area, go to a park, call the # around 1pm for your site assignment, and come back to set up.

On very rare occasions when the Fort is not too busy, they will give you your site assignment early in the morning and let you check in and set up at that time. It's kind of a crap shoot.

Thanks! I doubt we'd get there any earlier than 7. We always run late leaving. I'd lie and say it's DH's fault, but this is what I usually sound like for about an hour before DH finally tells me to hush and get in the vehicle:

"Did you get this? Did you get that? Did you check everything? You're SURE you have everything? Do you need to potty? Are you sure? Are you REALLY sure? Ok. You're sure that you're sure?"

:rotfl:

Despite any lists, I'm always terrified I'm going to forget something. :)

This has been asked before for hotel rooms and people have posted that the reservation system turns over at 6 am.

I'm not sure you could check in at 2 am and wait for your site because even though you don't have a site the system may try to charge you. :confused3

Out of the last six trips we did not get our site till 1pm 4 times during reg season and two times during off season about 1045am when we arrived.

I was pretty sure that a CM had said that it rolled over at 3am.

Just curious what others had experienced. :goodvibes

I guess we tend to get lucky. We always go during peak or regular season and usually have a site by noon. We get there around 10 or 11. :)

I think that Karla would tell you the Time the Official Day Begins is when they start serving coffee at Trails End.
