Hi,

We have reservations for the trail ride at the Outpost Tri-Circle-D ranch tomorrow. Ride begins at 11:30 and we need to be back at WL for Magical Express pickup at 2pm (encouraged to wait by 1:45).

1) Are the rides prompt? Can I expect to be walking to the Outpost bus stop at 12:30?

2) What is the fastest route from there to WL? Do I have enough time for the trip back? (Today it seemed to be less than an hour via bus and boat back to WL, mid afternoon. They encouraged us to use the WL bus instead).

3) If we hit a snag, what is the best way to get a taxi from the Outpost?

4) Bonus - if we MUST cancel, are we inside cancellation window already? Flyer and ressie agent weren't clear.

I guess I"m being conservative and needing reassurance. Please let me know if I have nothing to worry about or if we've got a mess started with this. Thanks so much!

The trail rides are usually pretty prompt they last about 45 minutes unless one of the horses decided to stop and chomp on greenery. Let the ranch hands know about your plans and they can mount and dismount you first. The quickest way back to wilderness lodge from the outpost is taking the express bus that goes up through the center of the campground to the settlement and then either take a bus to wilderness lodge or go to the dock and take the water launch. Tell the bus driver when you board the bus at the outpost what you are trying to do, he or she will then be able to let you know when the next connecting bus to WL is, you may find the launch quicker. If I were you I would get the dedicated phone number of where my reservation is and call them if you are going too be delayed. They usually work with you if you can give them an ETA. Sorry don't know anything about cabs I have never used one. I hope this helps you

Thanks so much for responding. That does help. I asked at FW (bus driver) and at the WL (experienced guest) today. I was told that from the WL the bus drops at Outpost first (I guess we'll allow time on our way to transfer buses if that's not the case). I was also told that all transportation leaving FW is from the bus or boat stops at the Settlement. So there is a bus that makes the loop - WL to Outpost to Settlement and back to WL? Or am I overthinking it?

I feel like an hour and 15 minutes should be enough even if we do have to make a bus transfer, but I will definitely have the DME number on hand, and ask the drivers for help.

There is a bus to Wilderness lodge that leaves from the loop at the settlement. I have found those buses to be hit or miss. The launch is a bit more regular. I think you are going to be fine on time. Enjoy!:cool1:

We rode from the WL to Settlement Depot, stayed on Settlement Yellow , which continued to the Outpost. Very nice driver said Settlement Yellow is the only route that goes to WL. We are supposed to take Settlement Yellow direct to WL. From the Outpost. I guess we'll see.

Yellow bus was correct. It looped back from a Outpost to Settlement and then to WL. We were off the horses hour after the reservation time and then it was 20 min to get to WL.
