Thanks:goodvibes

Plan your own. It's your vacation not Mikes.

I'll tell you how I plan.

1. Look at EMH AM's and try to take advantage of those since most people don't.

2. Then try to avoid things like EMH PM and Fantasmic that draw large afternoon and evening crowds.
Even try to plan to go to those parks the next day. Figuring if a crowd was just there the day before, they are off to a new place and the park crowd should be lighter.

3. Make a couple ADR's at early or off times to avoid crowds at resturants.

4. Plan on short break to the resort most mid days.

I think, Using that logic is pretty close to any one who you could pay to tell you what to do. And you'll have fun doing what you want rather than doing something what someone else things if fun for you.

Thanks for your post.:)

I find it kinda fun to poke around the sites to get a different take on what the think.
Any site recommendations out there? :thumbsup2

Try Deb's AllEars.net or the Unofficial Guide site at touringplans.com. HTH

It all depends on what you want. If you want a site to spell out a plan for you then touringplans and ridemax might be more your speed. If you want just plain advice on how to create your own plan use TGM. I just go to his green parks each day and create my own variation of the morning plan, then the rest of the day is doing whatever we want.

We know enough of what to do when we get there. ;)
I just like a little input on what park what day recommendations.
Thanks.
Any other experiences out there?

I use UG and touringplans, but I mostly rely on my own information. I chart the EMH days and the Spectro and Fantasmic showings for our trip. I avoid EMH and avoid Spectro and Fantasmic days UNLESS we're going to catch those shows. If you're going during a hard ticket event period, factor that in as well.

I also own a Passporter, but I think that's mostly because I'm addicted to planning. :) I'm relentless in mining these boards for information as well - always looking for something new and fun.

I've seen a lot of praise for Ridemax, but we always go during non-peak times, so I just don't think it's necessary for us.

Good luck!

We just got back from a week long stay. It was our 5th time, so I have some experience to draw from. I did all the planning by combining a variety of sources into a daily plan made by RIDEMAX. It was great! We followed the plan for most mornings, and then went off plan to follow the interests of our group and maximize fastpass options. Most days there were more than 8 of us touring together!

We made most of EMH in previous trips. This time we followed the recommendations of RIDEMAX for which parks, which days. They seemed to work fine, with the plus that I was not banging on doors to get the 20 something group members up and moving for early morning hours.

The most important thing for us was to get to the park EARLY! One day we were the first group at the HS rope drop - that day we rode TSM 4 times, with only one 25 minute wait. The other 3 were FastPassed.

We also used LINES while in the parks. The combination route seemed to work best for us.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.
