Time of year?

Hi all,

We've been going to WDW since 1986, but it's always been between the second week in October and the end of November..

We're skipping this year and looking at the first week in May next year as part of our 25th wedding anniversary.

What differences, if any, can we expect in weather and crowds, etc.? My guess is a little warmer and a little more crowded.

I'm not sure, I haven't been to WDW in May. But I think the first week in May should be a great time to go as far as crowds go. The schools should've had their Spring Break by then, it's right before some schools get out for the summer (my kids get out May 21st), and many schools are having proms going on at that time, so they can't get around to going on vacation then. Have you checked out Deb's site to see the attendence rates for that time of the year?

We went in May and it was great..Stay away from Memorial day though...Heck first week of June might not be too bad either...
Stay clear of April due to spring breaks..

We were there the 1st week of May this year. It was warm (high 80s low 90s) but not yet really humid. The only issue I had with that time of year is that MK was closed early for grad night twice while we were there. Also other parks were closed early for different events. One night Epcot was the only park open after 7pm which made things rather crowded. All in all though we had a great time.

Thanks, everyone. It looks like we're going to make it May 2-9. Just need to settle on which resort, WL, GF, Y&BC... sooo many decisions...

Is this during the garden festival too? I have always wanted to see that. I know they do special topiaries for that.
