Time of Magic Kingdom Fireworks??

We are getting married at Disney on October 5th and I was curious if anyone knows when the Magic Kingdom fireworks are during the month of October? We are having dinner the night of the wedding at the California Grill and are required to take the first reservation (5pm). I'd like to still be in the restaurant for the fireworks and I anticipate dinner for 20 people to take approx. 3 hours. If anyone knows what time the fireworks are in October, it would certainly help me plan.

Somewhere on this site there is a list of historical fireworks time, but I can't find it at the moment. In October I think the firework times also vary if its a MNSSHP night.

Why are you required to use the first seating? Is it something the restaurant is telling you? If so, you may find them more willing to work with you is you use one of the private rooms- Napa or Sonoma. We had a rehearsal dinner in the Napa last month and it was fabulous (Dahling!) (sorry had to put that in there ). From Napa, you look right into the MK. We had our own "private" viewing in the heat and comfort of the restaurant! If you wanted more information, I'm happy to help.

Edit: We were a party of 40 and the meal took 3 hours with four courses and a stop between the 2nd and 3rd for the fireworks. This timing may be different than general restaurant seating becuase it was served family style.

My EM said that because of my party size and the fact that I'm having an intimate, I'll have to take the first seating at California Grill. I didn't really question why. I'm not sure if I can use a private room because of the intimate ceremony. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

We are a party of 13 and have a 7:00 seating at the Grand Floridian. You can call Disney Dining at the 6 month mark and make your reservation for a big group. Since you are an intimate and a dinner is not included, you are simply booking a big group and you may be able to get a later seating going through Disney Dining.

Another alternative would be if you are spending your wedding night in a concierge room, have concierge make the reservation for you and they may be able to get a better time.
