Time MK is now letting people into park?

I know MK is opening Mainstreet early now, but is there any specific current info from someone who has recently been as to just how early you really get into the park proper? We are there in a few weeks and the park shows 9am openings, how early could I expect to get into Mainstreet? Have people been lining up at security off the buses; meaning, how busy has it been lately?

Thanks for the information, I had thought it was about an hour early, but can't find specifics. Sorry for any repeat questions!

It is my understanding that you can enter MK at 8am now and enjoy Main Street. I would assume that people line up early as they always have, and plan on getting there at 7:30-7:40 if being one of the front runners is your imperative. That being said, it's open early so that people will enjoy Main Street, get coffee and a pastry, shop around. If you get there at 8:30 and make it a priority to get to the front and not shop around, you probably won't have much trouble.

MK opened at 8:00 this morning. The Security lines for bussed guests were not backed up. I walked over from Contempt and there was a total of 8 guests going through the walkway security checkpoint.

There were at least 6-8 sets of entrance touchpoints where no one was entering. I walked right up to touch and enter. The new security measures seem to be working well.

Thank you guys so much! I'm looking forward to seeing the entrance more the way it used to be and was curious as to how that all was going now, I appreciate your thoughts and experiences! I always do rope drop that's why I was wondering how the new security plus the new entry time into Main Street was going. I plan to do MK the first morning I'm there, and this helps me plan...

So how far up Main St. can you go in the first hour? Just to Casey's, or up to the front of the castle?

oh good, so you still have access to the area up to and around the partners statue? excellent

What time do the various forms of transportation, horse trolley, antique cars etc, start running?

What about 8am EMH openings? When are they letting people in for that? Our first day has one, so I've been curious how that is going to work. Do you get in at 7am???

You can go into the hub it's the walkways off the hub to rides that you get stopped. The morning show is also on the castle stage now.

I haven't experienced it but I've heard its about 7:45-7:50 on EMH mornings. I think I read they let resort guests and ADR guests in then and about 8, everyone else. Only resort guests get let into Fantasyland and Tomorrowland by the scanning of your Magic Band.

Buses usually start running about an hour before park opening (or an hour before the morning EMH to that park) and continue running for about an hour after park close. I am only about 90% sure it is the same for the monorail, but someone else may can give a more definitive answer. :)

This is great, I was considering doing EMM just because I like the atmosphere of being in the park early/empty park, and not having to use a FP for Peter Pan and Pooh, but we don't do 7DMT, so it's kind of a lot of $ just to do the 2 rides and breakfast.... Instead I will plan to still arrive early but just hang around Main St./the Hub 'til they let us into Fantasyland at (presumably) 9:00 a.m., and book it straight to Peter Pan and Pooh. I think that will be almost as good as riding them during EMM with no wait....

If I am headed to PP at a 9:00 AM opening and I want to be the first one there, what time would I need to be belly up to the rope and which rope should I belly up to - the one to the left of the castle or on the bridge to Liberty Square?
