Okay, I'm a major planner, so I usually have my ADR's, tours, tickets, etc. way ahead of time, as I do - so far - for this upcoming short trip. I'm travelling with my two cousins (no husbands or kids), and I need alittle info on my first day plans.

We s/b landing in MCO at 12:30 pm. I will have a car service pick us up. I'm planning to order the food from gardengrocer or wegoshop. We will check into Kidani and i'm hoping to arrive by 1:30. I made an ADR at Sanaa for lunch at 2:15. I booked the Wanyama Safari Tour at AKL and we have to be there at 3:45 for check in....tour starts at 4:00 pm.

Am I pushing it with the sit down meal or do you think this will work? I'm guessing that check in (and grocery delivery) will be at the lobby at Kidani and I know bell services will hold our luggage (most likely just carry ons). So I'm hoping that we can get there in time to check our luggage if our room isn't ready and get to our ADR at Sanaa, eat and head directly over to the tour.

How long is the walk to Jambo from Kidani? Do I need 15
minutes to get there in time for the 3:45 check in? Or is it a 5 minute walk and we can just leave from our dining table and be there in a few minutes?

I booked the ADR lunch because I know we won't really eat a breakfast. With a 9:30 a.m. flight we'll have to leave from home by 7:30/7:45 a.m. (we live 20 minutes from airport). I think we will all be hungry when we get there and I didn't really want to "introduce" my cousins to AKV (and DVC for that matter) with a CS at Mara.

Anything I need to change or rethink here?

Thanks for any input.....you guys ROCK:thumbsup2

If it were me, I'd cancel the lunch plans at Sanaa. Airplanes are so often delayed-you're PROBABLY landing at 12:30. In all our trips to WDW, we've gotten to Orlando later than planned so many times (once we didn't get there until the next day), so we always plan on CS for that first day. I understand your reluctance to start out with CS, and you're right-airplanes never feed you anymore. That's also why we finish up on our last day stuffing ourselves with a big buffet breakfast. Who knows when our next meal might be!

I think you are cutting things too close and, as the PP said, cancel the lunch reservations.

If, for no other reasons, to prevent you from feeling stressed as you exit the plane and look at your watch to make sure you are "on schedule". Anything can delay you from the airport to the resort.

Of course, if you arrive at AKV, get checked in and realize you have plenty of time to still do lunch, try to get a walk up reservation--if you can't, you can always do Mara CS.

I would take Sandisw's advice: If you have time, then try for a walk-up reservation at Sanaa. If time is an issue, then walk over to Jambo House (its an easy 10 minute walk) and grab a bite to eat at Mara. If you need some calories to replenish yourselves, try the zebra domes!

Enjoy your trip home!
