Hi -

How much time does it take to get from WDW (Coronado Springs) to the cruise terminal? I am looking to dash from a convention to the boat, to meet up with the rest of my family, so when would be the latest I could leave to get checked onto the boat by the 4 pm sailing? Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!

With no traffic you'll need at least 1:15. I assume you will be dropping off your car at the port otherwise you have to allow for that. There's no way that I would stay at WDW past 2pm. All Aboard time is 4pm (and that's when the safety drill is).

If you leave at 2pm you could be onboard by 3:30pm and you've just missed the first meal onboard and if I were you I would be tottally stressed out and my DW would be a basketcase.

Thanks for the advice. Sounds like 2 might be okay - but stressful. Trying to please both groups - work and family. Never easy!

Just to reiterate what jrabbit said - leaving at 2 is VERY risky.

Any sort of delay - be it a traffic jam, long line at the rental car, trying to hail a taxi in Port Canaveral - would make things very difficult.

My suggestion - leave at 1PM.

Ain't that the truth!!! Need the work to afford the trip, need the trip because of work. Spouses and bosses almost never understand the needs of the other.
