Time from John Wayne to DLH?

I'm just trying to figure out our arrival timeline and I just have a question.

We'll be arriving in John Wayne around 2pm on a Saturday. Our transportation is booked with the DL Express and we'll be staying at the DLH. About how long should we expect it to take us to arrive at the hotel for check-in?

I know that there are things that can come up but a rough idea would be great for trying to figure out what we are going to do for dinner and do a few "housekeeping" things that we need to take care of that afternoon/evening.

It's close. I'm not sure of the schedule for the bus anymore; if it comes every half hour then things will be fast. If it comes every hour and you just missed one, then it's going to take a bit longer.

I'm not an expert and obviously there are gaps in my knowledge here, but if I personally were landing at SNA and taking the bus, I would expect 1-1.5 hours max from walking outside with my bags. That's what I would expect; not what I KNOW what happen.

If I had a rental car, half an hour from picking up the car.

We did this last year. From the time we boarded the bus to arriving to the DLR was about 30 minutes. We were lucky and managed to catch the bus that was waiting but they were running on the half hour at that time. My understanding is they run only on the hour so I'm not sure how long you may have to wait for the bus itself.

OK thanks for the info I knew it was a lot closer than if we had flown through LAX but I couldn't remember how long as the one time I had flown through there it was 4:30 during the week so there was lot more traffic.

But the once an hour thing makes me wonder if there is any way to refund the tickets and just get a cab as I understand the price difference is only about $5 or 10 and then we don't run the risk of having to wait at the airport with an over-tired and cranky 3 yr old.
