Time from EpCot to MGM using boat

We are planning on flubbing around EpCot Columbus Day and then taking boat to MGM. When would you leave EpCot to make the 3pm MGM parade? (assuming there is one)

You had better leave Epcot by at least 1:45pm. The boats are very slow and make many stops at the resorts along the way. We stayed at the YC in July, and it was faster to walk to MGM using the path (about 15 minutes) rather than take the boat (about a half hour if you are lucky).

What slows it down is people get on and off at each stop, YC, BW, Swan/Dolphin, and this takes time. Then if you just happened to miss a boat, you'd have an even longer wait.

If you are in decent shape, and your feet don't bother you, I would definately walk. It will take you about 10 minutes from the International Gateway to the YC, then about 15 minutes from the YC to MGM.
