Time from airport to parks?

Our flight arrives at 5:50 am on a weekday (domestic flight, no checked bags). We'll need to pick up our rental car, drive to All Star resorts to check in and then drive over to the Magic Kingdom (unless there's a faster route than driving). How much time should we plan for that to take? Just wondering if we'll be able to make it in time for the MK welcome show.

We always check bags and rent a car and usually get on property in about an hour. We usually are part of the rental car rental program so we can skip the counter. Donna

You might make it before RD. Barring traffic tie ups, you should be at your resort by 7:30. Personally, I think it's faster just to take a resort bus directly to the park than to drive, take the tram to the TTC, then either the monorail or ferry to the MK.

I agree that it might be best to take the bus from your resort. It can take 20 minutes to get from MK parking lot to the entrance. I'm a local now and live just a few minutes away, but it takes forever to get from the parking lot to the gate sometimes.

My concern would be morning weekday traffic, which can be pretty rough. The closer its gets to 7:00 am, the busier the road's are gonna be. Try to get your rental car, ASAP. Once you arrive at the All Stars, check in, park the car and hop on a bus to Magic Kingdom.
