Time Frame to book an RV site?

Does any one have any tips or strategies on booking a site at Fort Wilderness? We have tried several times to book a site and there are never any available. How much time in advance do you need to book a site.

We wanted to go in October (2 months) and they are full.

We booked our halloween week 2006 site in early august and got lucky. Others suggest that you continue to call preferably as early in the day as possible. Maybe we got lucky this being our first visit there.

Check both online and by calling. You can sometimes find sites available and piece your vacation together. October has become quite popular with the MNSSHP.

Thanks for all the good info. I tried to book tonight and I actually got two sites Preferred/pet sites. Couldn't not believe it. So We'll be there for MNSSHP Yippeeeee

Congrats Bonnie ! I am happy for you. We just got back two weeks ago, and have already booked for next year.

One thing I've learned on the Dis boards is to just keep calling until something opens up for you. Eventually there will be a cancel and you can get it.

I called last week for a seven day booking and was told there was plenty of open spots. I got a discount on booking the camp site with a AAA discount (show card at check-in). We are also getting the Fla residence Seasonal Passport thru AAA for $207.50 per adult (Price justwent down )

I called last week and got 3 days (prefered site) for next week. Of course, this is the value season so the parks are fairly empty. However, I have lucked out during peak times by just calling every day.
