we are currnetly planning our intimate wedding @ disney's cbr and are trying to plan on how much time the actual ceremony will take from start to finish. Our wedding is scheduled to start at 5pm and we have not been able to find any info on how long to expect the ceremony/cake cutting/first dance/pictures to run us. Looking for a little help in planning our time. Thanks.

ceremony is normally about 15-20 minutes. the cake cutting can take up to an hour/hour and a half or so depending on how long you want it to last. the bit that takes the longest is normally photos. we had a 2pm ceremony, and were done with things by about 4/4:30 and we were taking our time.
hope that helps
any other questions feel free to ask!

I have a question, even though this isnt my thread,

What were the decorations like? Where the chairs decorated and how did the cake table look and such. THanks

Our wedding was at noon and we were done by 1:30 or 1:45. We had a short ceremony (15 minutes at the MOST) but had a bunch of family pics to take. Oh, and we also did two "first" dances (the CD player didn't work the first time 'round) but didn't eat the cake at the reception (though we did cut it for the pictures). Like the above poster said, the timeframe will vary based on what you want the schedule to look like. We had 2 pm reservations at DTD so paced it appropriately. HTH!

Our intimate began at 2 and we were done and back to the resort by 4 ish. We didn't serve the cake at our "reception", we served it at our dinner later. Our ceremony was a good 20 minutes or a little more and then we did pics and then moved to the GF. WE didn't stay long there, b/c we didn't do any dances (we had an at home reception for that), so we just did the toast and cut the cake for pics. Then the rest of our guests mingled while we went and took more pics on the beach and in the GF lobby.

Here is a pic of our cake table... (please do not look at us in it..:)) There was a little extra Disney magic in that there were 2 floral arrangements on the cake table that I wasn't expecting, plus the glasses, our bouquets, table linens the cake etc.

I would say from arriving at the Pavillion to leaving the GF terrace was about an hour.

If you factor in the time i arrived at the pavillion with my best man, and the guests arriving, followed by my wife, i think it totalled 2 hours.

When we heard that timeframe before we got married we were concerned we might feel rushed and that it would feel that it was all over in 2 minutes.

However, it was lovely. The Disney staff were professional, the ceremony was just right, the pictures were not rushed, and we enjoyed the cake cutting on the GF terrace.

We actually spent some time walking around GF afterwards (just to enjoy a bit of time on our own) before meeting our guests for a booked meal we had organised.
