Time for Waterpark and 'ohana before MNSSHP?

We are planning to go to MNSSHP on a day we were thinking of heading to a water park around 11am. I have been really wanting to try 'ohana for dinner and this may be our only possible night to do so. My question is it realistic to do all three in one day? I would want to get to MK by 6:45 for the party. Where does that put us time wise for potential 'ohana reservations and also leaving the water park to accommodate 'ohana? (We are staying at PoR and would need to shower/change if that helps.) We would be willing to take a cab or Uber to and from locations to save time. Sorry. I'm realizing how crazy this sounds!! Any insight would be helpful!

if you only spend 3-4 hrs there should be fine. back in your room by 3, showered and out the door by 4 for a 4:30 ohana reservation and you should be ok on time. figure travel times in with Uber.

Just make sure you get that really early (like 4pm) ohana reservation because they are notorious for running behind schedule and the later your reservation, the longer you may have to wait for your table!

Did you know that your party ticket allows you to enter the MK at 4 PM? Lots and Lots of folks do this. The lines for the special Meet & Greets start forming way before 6:45 if you are interested in those.
Personally, I think all 3 in one day is too much. I would want my family to have a low key, restful day in preparation for the high cost late night party.

I have to agree with the others. Too much in one day. There is SO Much to do and see at the party that you want to be there late and swimming all morning/early afternoon could make you too tired to enjoy the party.
The meet and greets are a big part of the party which you can get into at 4 and I would recommend it. These lines start long before 6:45 and are LONG for lots of them. Plus you can scope out your plan of attack, hit any rides you want by going in at 4.
We ate dinner at The Plaza around 4 and then went into the park for the party. I highly recommend eating in the park and staying for the party. Logistically it's much easier.

I think you can do it but it would be a lot. I find water parks to be really tiring so not sure I'd want to do that then try and stay at MK until midnight. We didn't do the Meet & Greets -- no interest in standing in line for hours to meet a few characters -- but we did enjoy the show and the parade, along with being able to hit a bunch of rides. I'd try to get reservations at 'Ohana or someplace in MK (or The Wave) for a late lunch around 3:00 and then enjoy the park the rest of the day.

I agree with the others, you can manage to do all three, but I would not suggest it. I would want to be in the park by 4 PM, which means getting there by 3:45. I would schedule a late lunch outside the MK or dinner in the park before 5 PM the latest.

The transportation is what is going to be the killer in what you have planned, but if you do taxis for everything, then it does become more doable. I would hit the water park closer to 10am and put in 4 hours or so there, back to the room for a little rest and to get changed and then try to get an early Ohana dinner (around 4ish), they won't be as backed up by then so you shouldn't have a longer than normal wait. With that plan, you should be able to get to MK around 5:30, which is still an hour and a half before the party officially starts and in time to get into any of the highly demanded M&G lines, if you are wanting to do that.

It will definitely be a full/tiring day, so I would take into account your party and the ages. With older kids and adults I'd say go for it, with younger kids, I think it could be too much and potentially put a damper on the party part of your day.

I agree. I'm always wiped out after the waterparks.

I love MNSSHP. We are going to sleep in, hit the pool for awhile, then have a late lunch at Kona before heading over to the party.

I think it's a fairly good plan. You have to eat anyway and we've done the waterpark highlights in 2-2.5 hours.
9:30- leave hotel
10:15 - 12:30 water park
1:15 - 4:00 rest
5:00 - 6:30 dinner ohana
7:00 MNSSHP

P.S. - we are currently planning a sit down dinner at 5 pm outside of MK on MNSSHP.

Our 'ohana reservation is more like a late lunch - 3:35. But I realize it may take a while, plus then the process of getting to MK. I don't want to get to the party too late. I also don't want 7 year old DS to be exhausted and not be able to enjoy the party. We have another Waterpark day, but he loves them and was hoping for another which is why I we trying to jam everything into our non-park day. On the selfish side, I missed 'ohana my last 2 (and only) trips and was looking forward to trying it and that was the only day I could get a reservation. That said, the vacation is more about DS than me and I'm sure he couldn't care less about eating there! Decisions, decisions. This could all be solved by adding a day or two to our vacation!

Ok, I've officially lost my mind!

You could totally do Ohana beforehand, but I would skip the waterpark. It might be a good day to spend the morning at your resort pool, and then you are near your room with lots of time to get freshened up (and possibly dressed up) for the party that evening. The 3:35 reservation is okay - I would want to get to the park as early as possible to get the most out of your ticket, and that's not a totally unreasonable time. Head straight from Ohana to the MK.

I wouldn't do it. The later you get to the water parks, the longer the lines are. We just did BB two weeks ago, got there at rope drop and did all of our favorites a few times by 11:30 am. At that point, lines were building up with 30 minute waits. If you really want to do the waterpark, I would skip O'hana and just eat something in MK. Waterpark, plus O'hana and MNSSHP sounds exhausting to me!

Thanks for all the responses! So grateful to say I scored an ADR at 'Ohana for dinner the next night so I no longer have to pack it all in on party day! Now I just need to figure out if we still want to do the water park or pool prior to the party. I also was considering EPCOT since we probably won't be able to do both Sorin' and FEA on our EPCOT day due to fastpass tiers. Decisions, decisions! Thanks again!
