Time for the 2005 AP wait...

Just got off the phone with CRO. A very nice CM by the name of Walter told me that AP rates may be relased in the next few days or they could be released in mid December. I don't think I can stand to wait until mid December to find out where we are staying. No Swan or Dolphin discounts out yet for 2005 either. I never ever book until codes are out but I am almost thinking about seeing if a AAA discount is available at one of the moderates in case we can't get a code at one of the deluxes. We have never gone in mid Jan before so I never paid much attention to codes at that time of year in the past. Does anyone remember not being able to get an AP or other public discount for the second week in January if you are willing to be flexible with your resort. My DH is getting antsy too because he will be able to start booking tee times next weekend if we are staying on property.

I am going away with NO internet access for the weekend of October 22nd.. watch they will come out then... sigh... I hope that they come out earlier this year!!!

I am also waiting for January AP rates. I am hoping to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. Do you think I should go ahead and book my rooms ( I need two) or wait for the rates?

I just always hate to book before codes because my theory is the more rooms booked the less discounted rooms offered. So I always wait. We always to the first or second week in Dec which is always the last few weeks of codes so we always are able to book a few months in advance. But early Jan will be the beginning of the next cycle of codes. I think my DH is going to insist that I book next weekend so the can book his tee times.

We're planning to go 1/22 - 1/29 & stay at PO-FQ ! I can wait till the end of this month but till December for codes will be too much ! I guess we'll book by Nov. & hope for the codes to come out, thankfully I used DU for our Sept trip so they can apply the codes. Keeping my fingers crossed !!

What's funny is we just came back from a Sept. trip & stayed at the WL/AKL & I promised my DH no more Disney trips this year but I've sold him on a cheaper vacation if we book at a Moderate. So codes please don't let me down

I just talked to CRO this morning, and booked a room at POR for 1/1 to 1/4. I mentioned that I had an AP, but knew that the AP rates weren't out yet. I had a very good CM. She told me to start calling back around 11/15 to see if the code was out yet. She said they should be out some time in the last two weeks of November.

Just got off the phone with a very nice CM who told me to check back early December for an AP rate for my January stay. I went ahead and booked with my AAA discount and will keep checking back for the AP rate.

Let's hope it comes out earlier than what she said b/c I will be in Disney in the beginning of December and don't really want to worry about checking for AP rates each day!

I just booked 5 nights at the akl Jan 29th - Feb 3rd 2005. I just couldn't wait any longer. I asked when I booked if I could appply the code when it comes out and he said sure. So I'm happy with that. I just couldn't chance it being that my airfare dates are set and a cruise is booked as well.

That is great. Just keep in mind that you will only be able to apply a discount if one comes out for the view and time frame you booked.

That's usually how it works right? I also figure that the AKL is usually discounted for all the views. I booked standard.

the 'reliable' travel agent on another site has posted saying it will be soon but no official date. This is the same agent that seems to leak this info with some reliability each time we get close to discounts.
