time for dinner ADR before IL in Epcot?

I am having trouble deciding what time we should shoot for. IL is at 9pm. DS is 6 and used to eating at like 5pm. We could always do a snack or something to tide over or top off though. What do you suggest as far as crowds and timing? We have pretty much narrowed it down to Biergarten or Marrakesh.

Either one of your restaurants is fine. Just remember that at the Biergarten, you will be seated with other people to make up a table of eight.

Make your reservation for 5:00 or whatever you are comfortable with. I find that so much easier than trying to plan to end your meal in perfect timing to get to Illuminations. If you eat earlier, use the time in between your dinner and the show to catch some other entertainment or to look into the shops or, like you suggested, to get a snack. If you eat at 5:00, you'll be done at the least by 6:30 and still have at least two hours to do other things at Epcot.
