Hi -

We are going on the Wonder in the beginning of May. From what I understand, you have to be off the boat by 9:00 am. Our flight out of Orlando is at 3:00 pm.

Anybody have any ideas of what we can do to kill a little time? We have a four year old and I am not looking forward to 5 hours in the airport! :)

Also - I heard that at one time Continental had a place to check your bags right at the Port for your return flight. Are they still doin that?

Thanks for the info!!

hyatt has a day rate for $60.checkin is 10 am check out 6pm.we going to do it to use pool and relax.

We traveled on 2/1 cruise and even though U.S.A. had changed to code orange, Delta still checked our luggage at the port.

we have a 7.15 pm flight out of orlando when we get off the boat thru delta.will they checkin our luggage at the port so we don't have to carry them with us for the day?

The airlines that currently will check bags at the port are:

Delta
American
US Airways
Continental
Northwest

Please note: Each of the airlines above check in passengers on flights which depart MCO after 11 a.m. Guests wishing to travel stand-by on an alternate flight will need to keep their luggage with them and check in at the airport.

Another option for those with late flights is to rent a car from AVIS and then either go the Kennedy Space Center or head back to the WDW area and do a park, or go to Downtown Disney to shop or do DisneyQuest. I also like to get a little outlet mall shopping in. :)

We have a late return flight, also. The TA at DU suggested the Hyatt. The rental car sounds interesting. Any idea on the cost?
Thanks

We reserved a full-size car with Avis, so we can stop by Downtown Disney for lunch and shopping before going to MCO for a late flight. The total cost is $52 including fees and taxes.

If you have a rental car, you might want to check out the town of Celebration. The downtown area is great and very kid-friendly...your little one would get a chance to burn off some energy. They have a fountain that comes up out of the sidewalk and a big lake where you can rent paddle boats, as well as lots of park areas. There are plenty of good places to get ice cream or have lunch too. Just a thought for somehthing different!
