Timandlesley's November PTR: No Kids/No Judging : ) TR UP, Link pg.13!!!

Made it over here. I was wondering where all the PTR action was. ;) Great updates so far! I think November is a wonderful time to go down. Wonderful weather, awesome Christmas decorations. :)

Woo hoo for being in the teens!!! :banana: Your trip will be here before you know it, and you are going to have so much fun just the two of you! Can't wait to see the pics of your little Luke and Leia -- what a cute costume idea!
I can't wait!!!! I will take pics of them for sure, we went to our first Halloween party this weekend and they looked great!
Yay for the teens :yay:
Have fun at the Halloween parties!
Thanks!

Hooray for being in the teens ! You and Tim are going to have a fabulous time and deserve this time to yourselves. Just plan on taking the kids next year to see the Christmas lights.;) I know how that motherly guilt can be.

I love the fall but it is definitely nice to know you will see warmer temperatures soon.

I think whatever you decide about the dining plan will work out. How many nights/days are you doing the Food and Wine festival? That might help you with your decision. If you plan on eating/drinking your way around the countries more than 1 night the dining plan might not be worth it. I had it when we went last year but it was free dining.

Can't wait to see the Halloween pics !
Thanks, guilt is definitely sinking in deeper but Tim and I continue to be so excited, I just can't wait! I know for sure we will be at Food and Wine on Thursday night, but I want to do it one other night too.

I'm joinin ya in the excitement circle!! We leave in 11 days!!!
Six yrs was a long time to wait for a return visit so I am
more then ready!!!! Bummed that I miss both you and Anita
by a couple of days! Know we are all going to have a magical
time!!!:banana:
So excited for your Sharon, huge bummer we are missing eachother by a few days, but have a GREAT TIME!!!

YAY for being in the teens!!!! You guys will have so much fun and I can only imagine the Mommy guilt but at least the kids seem to be taking it well. Can't wait to see pictures of Luke and Leia! Have fun at the Halloween Parties!
Thanks, can't wait! Yes, the guilt is here, but I am trying to get over it.

Welcome!!! Glad you found us again.

Well, I crunched the numbers this weekend and determined that the dining plan wouldn't be worth it this trip. We have a lot of meals planned, mostly lunches so we'll see what we end up doing. I don't want to feel pressured to use credits, etc. on this trip, just to have fun with my baby!:lovestruc
So, I called member services today and cancelled the dining plan on our ressie.
17 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1::dance3::yay::woohoo::banana:
CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay::yay::cheer2::cheer2:

The Tables in Wonderland card may save you some money. It's definitely worth looking into. I prefer it to the DDP.

Gotta love those TEENS! Pretty soon you will be single digit dancing!!!

:hug: for you on the Mommy's Guilt. :sad2:

I should have done it this summer when Diane did it but I didn't forsee not doing dining for this trip, since we have a VERY short trip this time and a short one post cruise I don't think it will pay for itself. But for some of our meals we get a DVC/AP discount anyway (20% at Chefs De France for lunch) so we should be good.

I agree!!!! Thanks, the guilt is killing me!

14 days/ 2 weeks we'll be in Disney!!!!!!!!:yay::woohoo::cool1::cheer2::dance3:

The mother's guilt is still killing me. Today before dinner Lauren started crying saying "why in the world are you going to Disney WITHOUT US?" That was a tough one. I explained to her that Thursday and Friday they are in school, on Saturday they are with grandma and grandpa and they are taking them to a Cyclones hockey game (a first for them) and then we are home on Sunday - that seemed to help her a bit. .............
Hope everyone has a Happy Halloween this weekend. I will post a pic of the kids as Luke and Leia soon, then before you know it I will start the packing process, can't believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know exactly how she feels - every time I hear that somebody is going I want to know why they can't take me to. ;)

Enjoy your trip - we will be heading home about the time you are getting settled in....

I'm rarely on the DIS anymore, but happened upon your TR and had to comment...
Please don't let the guilt get to you! I know it's hard (I've been there when DH and I had our first adults-only Disney trip), but do not!
It's OK for the kids to feel a little left out, and also OK for them to learn that mom and dad deserve a treat without them every once in a while. And that includes Disney! They will be fine and trust me when I tell you that you will not regret the trip. I still (almost 2 years later) cannot believe how wonderful our adults only trip was and can't wait to do it again.
Chin up, mom!

Aw, poor Lauren. I recently went on a girls' only trip and like you, the guilt was AWFUL. I seriously was having stomach pains about it all. But the trip flew by, I had fun and the kiddos had fun with grandma for part of the time while I was gone. :) I hope it's the same way for you two!

Thanks, I did o.k. on my girls trip with Diane, but it helped knowing Tim was with the kids, I'm sure we'll do fine! Thanks!:thumbsup2
