Wow another wonderful update! ok let me just start off by saying ... it isn't fair, it isn't fair!!! We didn't see the dream team all week!! So lucky and cool to be awarded all those "dreams" very cool about the royal family!

Luke is such a good brother, love all those pictures together.. So sorry to hear of the unfortunate events with the ME bus, did Tim ever write the letter and did you ever hear back ??

I am so glad we got to meet this trip, and your family is just as lovely in person! to bad we didn't have more time, Tim and my DH would have really hit it off I think. I can't wait to hear all about your DVC planning etc... don't forget to come back and tell that story!

Tim did not write the letter, he didn't want to think about it again and was trying to concentrate on our happy Disney memories. We still may though. I am so sorry you guys never saw the Dream Squad, it's so crazy how some see them and otehrs don't. I am glad we got to meet you as well!

What a disaster your Magical Express journey was! I think it convinced me to find another way to the airport. I'm always nervous about making flights anyway, and since we'll be flying from Orlando to LA, then straight back home to Australia, we can't afford to miss our plane!! Wah!!

What a wonderful TR!!!!

I must share that we have a Mickey at our house also. He was a suprise Christmas gift in 2005. He is a cockapoo and so sweet and loving...although sometimes he is NUTS!!! We laugh and say he sould be Tigger because he likes to jump. Here is his picture...


Your kids are sooooo cute. Lauren reminds me of my DD at that age, always striking a pose for the camera. Love the way they held hands...so sweet. It looks like you guys had a wonderful vacation.

BTW, Congrats on the DVC... WOW!! 17 days at Disney is a dream come true. Imagine all the planning..oh what fun!

I have been following your trip report and I'm soo sad that it is over. I love tuning in to read your next installment. You are an absolutely gorgeous family ( both in looks and nature!LOL)! Luke and Lauren are just little darlings and they are a real credit to you both. Luke really does look after his little sister doesn't he? Which is just soo sweet to see.
What a fabulous end to an amazing trip being picked to be the Royal family for the day! And you really are just lovely people - getting ice cream for those little boys like you did - you would have really made that little family's day i'm sure!
I hope we bump into a family as sweet as you guys while we are on our first trip to WDW in November!
SOrry about your ME ending - but I wouldn't let it spoil the amazing time you quite obviously had together!

Can't believe it's over. What an awesome ending (besides the ME bus, that is). Royal Family of the Day and the Dream Squad - Wow! So sweet of you to share your last snack credits and extra fast passes.

I feel like I just finished a good book that I didn't want to put down. Guess I'll just have to wait for the next PTR to begin. Good luck with the beginning of the school year. Can't believe it's already time to go back. The girls start on Wednesday and Chris went back last week. He's the tech guy at an elementary school and had to be back a week before the teachers. I'm off this week so the girls and I are trying to squeeze in that last little bit of summer. Just like the end of a magical Disney trip, I feel the same way at the end of the summer. Back to the "real world".

By the way, we LOVED Grand Haven. One of the best non-Disney vacations we've ever had. I have some pictures of the inside of the "modern lodge". If you're interested in seeing what it looks like inside, PM me your email address and I'll send them to you.

How Cool that you got to be the Royal Family!!! That is an awesome family memory!! Getting to ride Peter Pan all by yourselves.

Glad you had a great time before you had the ME disaster. It seems like your driver should have had someone watching her and guiding her and training her. Not Disneylike at all.

Glad you made it home safe and sound. Now you have your precious Mickey to take up your time......Oh and your going for 17 days next year!!!!

I'm sure you have already started planning. Oh, the ADR's you will get to make.

I just found your TR yesterday and read the your last post today. I too am sad it's over, it really does feel like I was right there with you! YOu have a great way of writing and now I have to go back and read all the comments! Keep up the great work and I know it's sad that you have to wait another year before you go again, but seriously, doesn't it seem like it flies by?? We went in September the last 2 years and we are going again in December (my first trip out of 14 that will be around Christmas so I can see Disney decorated), but I am thinking ahead to next month and I can't believe it'll be a year since we've been! I mean, sometimes it does feel like forever, but then again, it feels like just yesterday!! Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for another great read!!

Well I am sure glad you found us. Thank you for the writing comments, I enjoy doing it. Yes, time does fly by, I just love having Disney to look forwrd to. Have fun in December, one year, especially now that we own DVC we will be there at Christmas time, can't wait!

What a great ending. I do not take ME for a lot of reasons. We use Tiffany town car service and we get a van since we are a family of 5 and it comes with a car seat for DS2 and a booster for DD 4. It cost 110 round trip but it is well worth it.

Woo Hoo, on the Dreams. What a great last day. If Disney needs a "spokes family" you guys really should be it.

I couldn't help but get that sinking sad feeling seeing the pics of you guys leaving the parks. You really feel it, even with just pics.:sick
The Disney let down is so hard, all the planning and waiting and excitement.
I understand Luke's sadness. Me and the kids were fighting back tears last time too. At least you know you'll be back next year and for 17 days And as you said DVC means you'll be back many years to come. Can't wait to read the TRs.

I've read many TR's and have to say how blessed we all are to get to take our families on these trips. I'm very thankful for my own family and all the families on the Dis to get to have such wonderful family time and family fun. And the little girl dressed as tinkerbell, I'm sure you made her day telling her about waking up tinkerbell. Great to share the magic.

Next year is a Disney Year for us Can't wait, I think I get more hooked each time.

Besides the yucky DME ride, what a great last MK morning!!
We just returned Sunday night from a ten day stay at WL and wow-what a beautiful resort!!! We were able to be flag family and it was a fantastic moment! Thanks for all of your tips and details--I'll look forward to your preparations for your exciting 17 day adventure in just 10 months!!!!

This is something we really want to do with our little Tink. Can you or Tim tell me the tips for getting there the quickest? By the way, I LOVE this TR You have a beautiful family. Congrats on the DVC and 17 days!!!!!!

You need to be at the rope RIGHT in front of Tinkerbells treasures (under the castle to the left) about 10 minutes before rope drop. To do this you need early reservations at crystal palace or BBB and get out of there in time. When the rope drops RUN LIKE HECK and get in the store and say "can we wake up tinkerbell?" GOOD LUCK!

Well, have fun lurking ; ) Can't wait to have you back for our ride again next year. Deluxe was AWESOME for us this year, but I think we'll probably go back to reg. dining plan in future years just because the price went up and it is a big price difference, but we'll see..............

So clever of Tim OK so our trips totally overlap next year, we will be there for 14 days 6/21-7/4, so we will have to make a point of meeting up

Hi Leslie!

Just caught up on your TR, as I have been MIA for two weeks due to going back to work. I teach, as well. We had pre-planning starting 8/4 and then 8/11 was the first day for the students. I actually don't mind going back so early b/c we are done and out before Memorial Day.

Anyway, a great TR, as usual! Great last day, except ME. Can't wait for the next one!!!!! Have a great start to the school year.

Just felt i had to say something! The weather in the UK is just rain rain rain at the moment, so yesterday as we couldn't go out my husband and i spent 5 hours!!!! reading your pre trippie and then your trip report.

We go in October for 19 days and found your report so amazing and informative as we have a boy and a girl too of similar ages (George and Madeline) and i just wanted tosay a MASSIVE THANKYOU for all the time and effort put in and also to Tim for your incredible weight loss!

You have certainly inspired us to begin our trippie, will let you know when it is up!

What an amazing last day at the MK!!!! All of those magical moments. I am really sorry about the stressful ending with the ME. I am always a nervous wreck until the bus shows up...I hate not having control although I know I could always rent a car but we would hardly use it. Anyways I am sad to see the TR end but am looking forward to your PTR for the very long DVC trip you have planned for next year!!!

By the way have you ever stayed at the Courtyard View room at WL? I am booked for one in Oct. I am hoping we will be able to be a Flag family but doubt it will happen since we arrive mid-week and are staying over Columbus Day weekend but one can wish right?

Lesley, I am sad to see this trip report come to an end. But WHAT AN AMAZING end to the trip! (aside from the ME mishap)

I was so excited reading about your Dreams, and how you passed on some Magic to a couple of other families.
I also almost cried when I saw the picture of Luke crying on your lap. I, too, get emotional over the end of a Disney trip.
My trip is coming up soon and just the other day I was thinking about how sad it will be when it's over...and it hasn't even started! Shame on me!

By the way, I found this picture of "Ruthie" as she looks CURRENTLY.

Still a beautiful girl. I'm sure Lauren will grow up SO BEAUTIFUL too! She'll be swatting off the boys!

Your vacation sounds like it was amazing. I am sorry about the nightmare with the ME, but so excited for you that you got a lot of magic tossed your way throughout your stay. We just got back from our honeymoon two nights ago and did not see the dream team once, but still had an amazing vacation. I will start my TR either tomorrow or the next day.
