Timandlesley’s how to win a dream in 10 days 11/15 NEW PTR UP!! pg. 94 has link!!!

Great update! I am soo mad at myself now , that we skipped our yak and Yati ADR on our AK day and just ate the CS part of it.. which was pretty standard mall food and not that great.. Glad to hear the restaurant part of it, is alot better!

Greta job on the report. I read your last one last year and it helped us plan our trip then. Thank you for all of the wonderful pictures and tips.

No, no WallE for me, yet! Matt took Tyson on Saturday and both of them gave it two enthusiastic thumbs up. Matt said it was one of the best movies he's seen in a while! I'll have to squeeze that in for myself soon!

Great update as usual--makes me miss it and want to go back so badly!! HOW COOL that you and Tim got to ride in the first car!!! AWESOME!!! In case you are wondering--WALL-E is really good! Don't expect to see something along the lines of traditional Pixar flicks like Nemo and Toy Story, but amazing animation and Wall-E is so adorable, he is hard NOT to love!!! I hope you all enjoy it!

The wet t-shirt is too funny. The exact same thing happened to my wife when we went in Jan of this year.

We ended up buying her a dry and umm less then sheer new one, at the first store we found :)

I agree its different from the other pixar movies but still good

Okay, I think I am all caught up again!

What a view you had on the water mice! Too bad about Lauren being cranky/grumpy :(. She's still adorable even when she is melting down!

Hilarious night at WCC! That video is too funny! We've always wanted to do the campfire but have yet to make it over there -- did you walk over from WL? How long does that take?

Sorry about being late to Tusker House -- that was a huge fear of mine! You rode all of our favorites -- no matter where I sit on Kali I end up drenched -- never fails -- I am like a geyser magnet or something, but it's so much fun!

I had to laugh: we had the eggrolls, Charles ordered the beef with broccoli, and I ordered the steak and shrimp at Yak and Yeti. Our adult beverages were orange though and we ordered the mango pie. ;) While we loved the food, our experience at Yak and Yeti was not great (that's coming up later in my TR). We will give it another try sometime though.

Have to say it: can't wait to read more! popcorn::

What a great tip on the cell phone charger!

2 great meals, Ohana's and Whispering Canyon Cafe! So great! I haven't gotten to watch the videos yet because my laptop is not charging  and I'm using my last 20 minutes to try to catch up/post

Those were some great updates though!

Yes, being right is always cool. Actually I think Tim ended up opening the door. Yes, sleeping in those Disney beds for the first time was awesome!
We landed at 8:45 a.m. so that was super nice. Our room wasn't ready until 3, so they had tons of time to get our luggage there.

Yes, they do call them Italian margarita's. That stinks about the fridge at Pop, oh well. The ice might work, would definitely save you money.

wow...so early!

I might just get the water then. Thanks Lesley!

So………. We woke up from our wonderful nap by the boys coming back from Downtown Disney all excited about their purchases. I got in the shower and got ready for the night and Tim did too. We headed out to the bus stop to Hollywood Studio’s for our dinner at 50’s Primetime.
Here are the kids at the bus stop:

Here is Luke sporting his new Yeti shirt he got at AK this morning with his souvie money, he wanted to act like the Yeti for the camera : )

We got to the park about 5 min. after our reservation time. I got the stroller with the kids and Tim ran ahead to check us in. I was stopping in front of the restaurant to take a photo of the kids in front of the 50’s Primetime sign when Tim looked at me from the podium with this panicked look and waved me up there. Turns out they had no record of our reservation which is VERY weird figuring I made it at 180 days out and had the number written down just like every other reservation for the trip. ODD. Anyway, they said they would “try to squeeze us in” and it would be 45 min. to an hour. I still can’t figure out what the heck could have happened to our reservation.
Anyway, so we decided that we could run over to Toy Story to use our FP’s, Luke was very excited about this. I was PRAYING that Tim and Luke would have a good ride this time. I gotta tell you, they didn’t think the single rider line through in this line. With it being such a huge attraction with posted wait times averaging 120 min. all day there were people using the single ride line LIKE CRAZY, even whole families constantly, well this night was no exception. The way this line works though is they go in with the FP riders and their wait is the same as ours, this ticked us off a bit but the total wait time was only like 10-15 min. with our FP’s.
I rode with an excited Lauren:

This time I scored 112,000, I tried to take a picture of the screen but the flash was on:
DSC01116Small.jpg

Tim and Luke DID have a great ride I am happy to report and were loving life. This ride really is SUCH fun. So now our spirits were lifted and we ran back to dinner. I checked in at the podium and they said they had just called us. OH NO!!!!! But, the lady was super nice and seated us right away.

I just love this place:

Our waitress was a hoot but Lauren and Luke were very scared of her. You should have heard Luke scared to death, voice shaking when he ordered, she picked up on his nervousness and backed off of him the rest of the meal.
After we ordered Luke and Lauren took some pictures of us:
This was Luke’s:

Then it was Lauren’s turn behind the camera:
DSC01123Small.jpg

For appetizers Tim had onion rings (he also had the yummy shake pictured)
DSC01124Small.jpg

I had the shrimp cocktail:
DSC01125Small.jpg

For the Main course both kids had mashed potatoes and meatloaf, another welcome change from the standard kids meal:
DSC01127Small.jpg

I ordered Pot Roast: YUMMY!
DSC01129Small.jpg

Tim got their Fried Chicken and said it was very good:

Poor Lauren really got it good from the waitress. She kept telling her what a mess she was making, made her get on the floor and pick up a dropped piece of pot roast, etc. Lauren quickly was wanting to leave dinner and Luke thought it was great she wasn’t picking on him. Here is poor Lauren at dinner:

She said “mommy, I don’t like this place, they act very weird”. Poor girl.
Well their spirits were lifted when the desert menu was brought out, for those of you who haven’t dined there, the desert menu is on one of these babies:
DSC01133Small.jpg

They had fun taking turns looking at the desert choices:
DSC01131Small.jpg

Tim got the huge daddy’s sundae thing:
DSC01140Small.jpg

He loved it, he said he would always want caramel corn in his sundaes from now on and how good it tasted, I took a bite with the caramel corn, it did taste awesome.
I had the traditional hot fudge sundae and it was delicious:
DSC01141Small.jpg

The kids had the build your own sundaes (the typical desert on the dining plan):
DSC01142Small.jpg

Here is our waitress:
DSC01143Small.jpg

She said we didn’t get her good side and posed again : )
DSC01144Small.jpg

It was a beautiful night at Hollywood Studios, we stopped for a photo in front of the hat:
DSC01145Small.jpg

It was after 8:30 and we didn’t think we’d get a good spot for Fantasmic by now and decided to just go back to the hotel and enjoy the pool, the kids have been dying to swim and Tim and I have been dying to enjoy the pool bar : )
So we headed back to the resort. Tim took this funny video of his adventure back to the bus stop, click on it to play, you should get a decent laugh out of it (stay tuned to the end, even though it is dark and you can’t see too much there is a funny ending, listen to Luke, he tips Tim off and it takes Tim a while to realize it):

CONTINUED IN NEXT POST

We arrived up at our room, I took this picture of the hidden Mickey’s on the wallpaper in the hallway for ya:
DSC01149Small.jpg

I had called and requested turndown service this night (anyone can request this at the WL by the way, but I do leave a tip). The kids LOVE it when I do this, they love the chocolates on their pillows. This is how the room looked:
DSC01150Small.jpg

DSC01151Small.jpg

After the kids got done downing chocolates we got our suits on and headed down for a night time swim:
DSC01152Small.jpg

We passed a guy in the hallway who said “gotta love vacation when you can take your kids to the pool at 9:30 p.m.” I said “yes, you SURE do”.
Tim exited the doors first and did a little scream because this guy jumped out at him, harmless little fella, what a wimp Tim is : )
DSC01154Small.jpg

Tim headed to the bar and got some wine for me and a long island iced tea for himself:
DSC01160Small.jpg

I look like Lauren striking a pose in this one, guess I was a really happy girl : )
DSC01161Small.jpg

Tim and I didn’t get in this night, just watched from the side sipping on our drinks:
DSC01158Small.jpg

Lauren enjoying the hot tub:
DSC01159Small.jpg

After a wonderful swim we headed to Roaring Forks to grab snacks for the kids before bed time (Lauren is a HUGE Cheeto fan and she loved this vacation because almost every night we let her have a bag of Cheeto’s before bed). We filled our mugs up nightly too and this night was no different. We watched t.v. and fell asleep between 10-11 p.m. it was a nice night and we needed to rest up for EARLY wake up call in the morning

Sounds like a very fun night at Hollywood Studios!! :thumbsup2 Except for poor little Lauren at 50's Prime Time!

Love the video... Although I must say, when Tim eventually sees the bus, screams and starts running, it REALLY reminds me of Cloverfield!! :scared1:

I totally expected to see a massive monster coming straight at him from behind the bus stop!

Hehee, thanks for another fun update!

Love the update.

Our DS (Declan) got the same shirt as Luke on our last trip. And he also did the Yeti pose! Boys!

Great video Tim. The "slap slap slap" of your sandals as you run for the bus is a true Disney memory!:lmao: How many times have we all done that!

Great update! I would not have been happy at 50's. Just curious, did you give them your ADR confirmation number? You are so organized I'm sure you had them with you. Thanks for the answer about the deluxe dining plan. I don't think we'll do it this time but it might be something to consider for next time. Poor Luke and Lauren at 50's.;) My girls would have been the same way but there may have been tears involved.:lmao: They have a hard time with teasing in general. It;s too bad because they really need to develop their sense of humor a bit more.:rotfl2:

The pool looked really crowded at night or was that just where the kids were?Really enjoying the reportpopcorn::

Great update! Love that video, your dh is totally cracking me up! He said, "Oh, CRAP!" a couple of times, and that is something I say all the time! LOL

I loved seeing your table at 50's Prime Time! I am so torn on whether to eat there or Sci-Fi on our trip! Your pics looked great though!

Can't wait for more!

What a wonderful way to spend your evening! PTC looks like such fun and very yummy -- those Viewfinders for the dessert menus are a scream!

Nothing like a pool night with adult beverages to end a day! There's nothing like it! :thumbsup2
