Tim Tebow

Thanks for the link. I also am not a football person. I only watch while my DH does but I have been following Tebow since everyone started making a big thing over him. It is articles like this that I read that just make me love him more and more. If only I could be 1/4 of the person he is. Go Tebow.

with all the thugs, rapists and murderers that seem to occupy the NFL, it's so refreshing to read about someone who uses his "celebrity" to do good in the world and lift others up. GO TEBOW! :cheer2:

It is refreshing. And yeah, they are getting their butts kicked right now and for the life of me, I don't know why people get a kick out of that. I guess they hate Tebow and who he is which seems a bit strange to me given the number of atheltes, coaches etc that get caught and busted doing the most despicable acts. Go figure.

I am still proud to be a Bronco fan and if the situation was reversed, I'd like to think I wouldn't be delighting in the other team/quarterback being humilated. Hey they got here tonight when nobody gave them a chance.

Probably because all week it was a giant Tim Tebow lovefest wherever you turned. Just a little poetic justice. ;)

And if you weren't aware they Patriots defense is ranked 31 in the league so technically the Broncos shouldn't be taking such a beating.

If you weren't aware that Tebow played for the Broncos, you wouldn't have known who the Patriots were playing. All I heard each day was Tebow versus the Patriots.

If I had a daughter I would want her to bring home a Tim Tebow and not a Michael Vick.....

nuff said!

And Alex Smith "manages" games and SF has a good defense. And yet, somehow the score for the Saints/49ers game was 36-32. :confused3

This article pretty much sums up the man that Tim Tebow is.

Go Broncos!

Wonderful article.

I never hear or see the "Tim Tebow love fest" articles/shoes. Mostly what I see or hear are criticisms of him...of his abilities and his vocalization of his faith.
When my kids were growing up, I told them that athletes (in most cases) shouldn't be their role models...well, here is a guy I would want them to look up to.
Does Denver have a defense or an offensive line? If they do, those guys must have stayed home tonight.

absolutely. :thumbsup2

Tebow lovefest?

The late night comedy was a love fest?

People hoping and wanting this guy to fail was a love fest?

I guess it all comes down to perspective. If you hate this guy to death, then yeah, anything positive will be a lovefest.

I am also quite aware of the Patriot's defense. I used to live in Maine and have loved the Pats for years! I was pretty sure all along the Broncos would get beat, but I have lived in Denver for all but one year of the past 41 years (that one year I lived in Maine and by golly the Pats have stuck with me lol) and naturally I wanted them to win. But in the end, to me they did win this season.

But hey, if the Broncos and Tebow getting their butts kicked gives some people a happy hoorah for the week, its not surprising. Anytime a team/person/entertainer is on top and being talked about, its going to cause a lot of people to hate them. Just human nature.

And you honestly don't think that this works the both ways? Those that don't like him are likely to hear all the Tebow Lovefest. But those that worship him are also just as likely to hear all the negative things being said about him. It does come down to perspective.

Agreed.

I don't hear too much negativity in the media quite honestly. The late night pundits but honestly, they have open game on everyone and you just have to laugh whether you love or hate whoever they are showcasing.

Its the message boards, conversations I overhear here and there where I see the most negativity about him. He represents something many people are not comfortable with. Maybe due to past experiences, other Christians who were anything but, who knows.

But in the end, Tim Tebow is who he is. He's comfortable with himself and in spite of his young age, I find that very refreshing for a public person. To me so many of them, particularly those who find fame and fortune young don't knwo who they are or how to behave in their own skin.

Anyway, I am happy for the Patriots fans, its always great when your team wins and wins big! And for those who detest Tim Tebow or hate every fiber of his being (think I saw another poster say something to that affect pages back), well, this gives them a whole new lease on life in the Tebow lane.

I have no problem with Tebow. Seems like a genuinely nice guy. My problem is with the fans that act like Tebow is the second coming. And now some are saying The Pats won yesterday because Josh McDaniels basically gave NE the Denver playbook. Really?

It was in fact a Tebow lovefest all week, in an hour of Television across all programs one night last week Tebow or Tebowmania was mentioned 146 times whereas Tom Brady was mentioned 5 count'em 5 times. Late night comedy always picks on what the rest of the media is focusing on, whether it's Tebow, Tiger Woods or anyone else in the public eye.

Thankfully the Media can only help decide who is popular they can't decide the outcome of an NFL game and The Pats revel in being ignored....Paying attention now? ;)

Yeah John Fox shot that argument down days ago, he said the Offensive Playbook is completely different....:thumbsup2

By halftime, we were hoping that Brady was going to throw for 666 yards against the Broncos. Poetic justice and all....

In the second half, none of us could figure out exactly when the game had switched from being Patriots vs. Christians to Lions vs. Christians. Nonetheless, there we were!
