Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow will be judged by his heart, his intentions--so if he has foundations so he can brag or look good, God will know just that. If he has the right intentions, God will know that also. It is why we should leave the judging to God and ultimately will.

If you do something wrong and no one ever knows, does that mean you got away with it? God knows the truth and while you think you've gotten away with it, in the end, you will answer for it. That's the truth about God that believers hang their hats on--that God judges our hearts. And so I believe God will judge all the good and the bad equally--whether it is what Tim Tebow does in life or another NFL player or Walt Disney or me.

:thumbsup2

I don't, I chuckled....That's what Bill Maher does, he's a comedian :goodvibes

He's not a funny comedian, but I don't really get all the uproar. It's just par for the course for Maher. Who cares? He's like the groundhog, has to say something once a year to remind us he's still around.

anyone think that Maher went a little too far with his tweet?
I dunno. I think using the F-word is pretty tasteless but I think he probably tweeted what many people were thinking when it comes to Tebow and God (Jesus). I think people probably think Tebow prays for a win and then (sometimes) he gets a win so his prayers come through, so to speak. However, since many Christians know that God is NOT a genie in a bottle granting wishes, it is unlikely Tebow prays and asks for "a win."
I think comments like those are expected. :headache:

When I heard there was some kind of uproar I expected something entirely worse than what he actually wrote, which was... a really obvious joke?

I long for the day when people stop being shocked that Bill Maher (and every other comedian, honestly), say things that are meant to be funny and not non-offensive.

I did laugh that conservative groups were calling for a boycott of his show - because they watch it?

While I agree that he isn't all that shocking, I don't believe he meant it to be non-offensive. Being offensive to certain groups is funny to some people - on both sides of many issues.

I said not non-offensive.

I don't think he meant it to be non-offensive either (I also don't think he meant that to BE offensive, it is, as noted by others as well, the obvious joke). I don't think any real comedians mean to not offend; I think they mean to be funny and if they offend, oh well.

Sorry about the not non-offensive part :goodvibes. But I do believe he meant it to be offensive. Don't know if I think that makes him a not-real comedian or not though.

Tebow and the Broncos are so good, they win the AFC West by losing :worship:

Glad I put our deposit down on the playoff tickets. Broncos vs Steelers next week at home. :scared1: love my Broncos, but I don't think they are going to win that one.

Or the Raiders are just that bad, talk about a team with zero heart. They knew that Denver lost with basically the entire 4th quarter to go and they failed even with the knowledge that if they won they'd be in, pitiful.... guess they didn't want to miss their tee times this morning....

As an aside can we finally say that Sanchez isn't NFL ready yet? :rolleyes1

IMHO The Donkeys don't have a chance against the Steelers, but then again the Seaguls beat the Super Bowl defending Saints in the Wild Card round last year so anything can and will happen in the Playoffs. That's why NFL Foootball rules!!!!

When Big Ben is on his game the Steelers are the most balanced team in the league, which is scary looking ahead to the AFC Championship, at least my Pats will face them at Gillette if it comes to that :goodvibes

Broncos Beat Steelers!

Buh Bye Steelers

Take that Tebow and Bronco Haters!
