Tiles to track kids and stroller?

Has anyone used tiles in WDW? Enough users to work?
I have been contemplating placing one in our stroller and park bag just in case. Also considering putting one tile in each child’s pocket if for some reason we get separated. Anyone done this? Did it work/work well?
My kids will be 7 & 8 but have disabilities that put them at a functionally younger age.

We have taken an old iPod with us and just zipped it in the stroller then used 'find my device' to track it via wi-fi. Never used tile or the like though
