The Cast: Me--Dad, all around Disney freak and nice guy (DD's deep wallet)
DW--Mom, commando style Disney walker, doesn't get excited until THE DAY
DD--14 yr old, ruler of the family
Its two days and counting until the THE DAY. Being the anal planner that I am I've gone over this trip hundreds of times now and probably have driven poor Shirley at Dreams Unlimited bonkers will changes and questions.
Except for the last minute packing we're ready to go and personally I don't understand why the rest of the family isn't wanting to wait by the curb so the shuttle can bring us to the airport--nevermind that we leave on the 30th, don't you guys read that the airlines are advising showing up early for your flight?
DD has packed her most important things 200 times now--Dad...I'm going to be gone for 7 days I need two suitcases of clothes! I have tried to gently remind DD that 47 change of outfits per day is a bit much but what do I know, I'm only Dad.
DW has cleaned the house to within a inch of its life. My question is why? We just bought the place in December, its brand new and the new smell hasn't worn off yet. Do the cleaning police come in and check? Hold it, they can't leave because there is a dust bunny under the house! Cancel their trip, they don't clean up! I mean really, if someone breaks in they aren't going to care how clean the place is and they'll probably make more of a mess. Not the thing to say to a DW with commando cleaning on her mind.
That's all for now, DW just called and found a blade grass out of place and now the entire lawn needs to be mowed as well as the neighbor's yard.
T-minus 2 days and counting!
