Tiger-Snaps---- What is the REAL name of it?

Okay, ever since I was little (I grew up here in FL) I have always seen these black bugs with red/orange stripes. When you touch them, they snap off of you really quicly and fly away (or jump away). I have always called the Tiger (stripes) Snaps (they snap or pop away). Who can help me find out what they REALLY are ????
