I've only seen this mentioned by one person. Of the many reviews I have read this has not been mentioned before. I'm interested in more opinions as well.

I just commented on that post. DH and I had dinner there in March and didn't think the entree portions, or app/dessert portions for that matter, were small at all. I do think possibly the entrees at signatures are a bit smaller but in our experience at a few other signatures as well as Tiffins, we have never left hungry or been disappointed in entree size. However we do always get either apps, desserts, or both so the entree isn't all we eat.

Another one who posted on the other tread that we left very full. We shared an ap, got a side and shared it and shared a dessert. The entres didn't seem any smaller to us than at any of the other signature restaurants.

We ate there a few weeks ago and didn't think the portions were very small.

They may appear smaller than you think, but we all left quite full. We had 8 in our party, so were able to eat at least half way through the menu. The lobster bisque and scallops were beyond delicious, I am working on making a version of the pomegranate glazed chicken, the whole fried fish was incredible, swordfish, lamb, everything beyond our expectations! Desserts were wonderful, and the restaurant itself is just beautiful. We will be returning here!!

Tiffins was our favorite meal in December. The portions we were served were adequate, although we did share and appetizer and dessert. I think if you have a larger appetite you may not want to share dessert, LOL!

I commented on the thread you might be talking about. The picture of the entree was very small, but that was not our experience so I am not sure if it was an anomoly or if that vegetarian entree is smaller that the entrees that feature a protein.

I will add that the signature dining portions are not all created equal. Yachtsman Steakhouse, Narcoossees, the entrees are more substantial that entrees in Tiffins, California Grill and Flying Fish, IMO. When I plan signature meals with my husband in mind I would add CG at the end of our trip because by that time he was kind of filled up. If it was his first meal of the trip we would need to stop for someting else for him to eat.

I had the pick-2 for lunch when I was there in October. It started with the bread service.

I also ordered the Lobster Thai Soup:

My pick-2 two choices were vegetable curry:

and the beef short ribs:

It was served with rice:

Everything was very good and generous portions.

For the 2 of us, we usually get an appetizer, 2 entrees, sometimes 1 side, and 1 or 2 desserts. We don't have giant appetites, but we always leave stuffed. I never can finish everything. The portions are not gigantic, but it's on par with the other signatures we have been to. If you are looking for quantity/price, Tiffins is not for you. It is about quality. I am not saying that you can't get good food at cheaper places; however, I don't think you can get food as good at most cheaper places.

We tried it on our last trip and was so blown away by it that we made 2 reservations for it for our trip in December! Portion sizes can be deceiving, they may look smaller compared to other disney dining establishments but we were so stuffed it was hard to finish everything. The quality of food is amazing!

I have been once in each of my last four trips, it's my favorite in-park restaurant by far. I dislike this term but it's more of a 'foodie' type of restaurant with a streamlined menu and a focus on flavor/freshness as opposed to portion sizes. You may not walk away stuffed to the gills, but you'll enjoy a flavorful experience with some unique entrees. Combine Tiffins with a pre or post meal beverage and Nomad Lounge, and that's time well spent for me. :-)

Other bonuses include the fact that I can get a relatively healthy meal for me and my kids and it's rarely crowded, so ADRs have been easy to get even on short notice (caveat, I have not been since Pandora opened).

The menu might not be for everyone, but it works for us.

This is great I was wondering the same thing because I am eating there for the first time soon as well.

Tiffins is really good. The bar outside is my favorite sit down area for a drink and a couple of glasses of water on a hot day!
