Tiffins menu question

I am finally trying Tiffins this coming weekend, on my birthday! I am super excited. I have 2 menu questions.

1. Will they allow you to just get the turf in the surf and turf? I would love the wagyu beef, but I hate lobster. Has anyone done this? Would the portion of beef be too small to make this a worthy option?
2. The tamarind braised short rib sounds interesting, but I have no idea what tamarind tastes like. Not sure if I have ever had it. Any comparisons or descriptions on how it tastes?

I hate to say it but the descriptions are more flavorful than the meals. The short ribs taste like standard short ribs - nothing exotic. Can’t speak to the surf and turf.
A year ago Tiffins had a great menu with fab food — now it is generic and could be found anywhere.

Tamarind tastes a bit like lime, so adds a slight sourness to dishes. Infact you can substitute lime for recipes that suggest tamarind and not really notice the difference.

Was expecting more of the Short Rib, but it literally tastes like short rib you can get anywhere. Thought there was going to be a Tiffins unique flavor, but I was wrong. It's just basic short rib and a reason why Tiffins was a disappointment for me. Not a huge one, but enough for me to be like ehhhh, and possibly me not wanting to go back and spend the money to dine here. Dessert was good. Wine/Beer selection is good. Had an Argentinian wine I believe. But the apps and entrees are kinda bland and that's not a good sign.

So true above ^^. The food sounds better in writing. Taste is literally things you can find anywhere. Should have tried Jiko, so possibly one regret from my Animal Kingdom trip, but oh well. There's always next time!
