I understand how if you don't buy the hopper option you can't go from one park to another but can you leave a park and return to the same park later that day and it will only count as one day right?
I just started pricing tickets and found that a 7 day base ticket is $1 cheaper than a 6 day base ticket. Isn't this strange?

Yes, you may come and go within the same day at the same park.
