What is the temperature like at the starting of Feb.? Is it good to bring a jacket for the evenings? Does anyone know what the park hours might be? Any chance of the park still being decorated for the holidays?

Where is the best place to purchase tickets online? Or is it better to purchase tickets onsite?

Daytime average in the low 70's/60's, nighttime average in the 40's /50's with potential for rain (Feb. is the rainiest month), so yes, jackets for sure lol!!! Do check closer to your trip though. We had a warmer/drier winter this year.

Sorry, no chance of holiday decorations. Be prepared that a lot of ride closures/refurbs happen in Feb. and fireworks/Fantasmic entertainment tends to be weekends only at that time of year.

I buy tickets online from Disneyland.com.

sonnyjane answered most of your questions. The hours in February tend to be on the shorter side, except perhaps around President's Day. On the week days the parks tend to open at 9 or 10 and then close anywhere from 8 to 10, depending. You can see the hours from Feburary 2013 here:

Christmas decorations usually start to come down the Monday after New Years. The last vestiges is usual It's a Small World Holiday which usually runs until mid-January. By February, unless something is overlooked, the only Christmas you'll find is the ornaments and other holiday decorations they sell year around in the stores.

As mentioned, you'll likely only have the chance to see fireworks, Fantasmic, and Mad T Party on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. WoC should run nightly, unless it's undergoing refurb. That's another thing to point out; DL is currently experiencing a fairly high number of refurbs in advance of the 60th anniversary next year (2015). The 60th events are supposed to start in the "Spring", so it's possible that winter will see the last flurry of refurbs in advance of the anniversary events.

In terms of tickets; you can purchase them from Disneyland.com. Other have also reported having good luck with aRES, way.com, ebates/orbritz, and AAA. Basically, stick to the reputable sellers and you should be okay.

:( thought the fireworks show was a daily thing, bummer. But hoping it is happening the day we are here. I will check out the website, thank you. The temp. suggestions are very helpful in preparing for our trip, and will check with the temp. is as we get closer, thank you!

Love Christmas, so I was hoping those decorations would still be up, but at least I can look forward to the Christmas ornaments. Is there any particular store I should look at for Christmas ornaments? Thank you for the ticket info. will check out those sites. Thank you!

As long as you're there one weekend night, you'll be okay. Fireworks are only daily in peak seasons (like Christmas and summer, maybe Easter week) unfortunately.

Along the lines of what I posted on the "can I swim in April" thread, your perspective on the weather will be based on where you are coming from.

For our February trips, we've always escaped 6 feet of snow and 20 below temperatures, so temperatures in the 60's are shorts and t-shirt weather for us. There have been evenings where we have thrown on a light sweater for the fireworks or WOC if the temperature drops below 50, but that tends to be the exception and not the rule, and the sweaters usually stay tied around our waists.

I agree with the PP that it is all about your perspective. We were there at the end of Feb a couple of years ago, coming from an Australian summer. We were generally in jeans and light jackets during the day, but had to really rug up at night - coats, scarves, beanies, gloves... the whole deal! We were fully prepared for rain but we were super lucky and it never happened. On our last day the sun finally came out and we had a beautiful day. We were comfortable in t-shirts that day, but still needed jackets that night.

Among the many upsides of being located in Anaheim, CA, there is one big downside for Disneyland. For that reason, Disneyland has had to make major compromises while school is in session. Thankfully, Sunday night still has fireworks.

Some of the neighborhoods around Disneyland are particularly touchy about the noise coming from the parks. These neighbors even came out to oppose the building of DCA and even required studies of decibel levels from roller coaster screams (which factored into the ultimate design).

As I said in another thread, even as a midwesterner, I found found Winter temps at Disneyland to be down right cold in the past. Other times...it's been warm.

We are also going in early February but I think we'll have to wait and decide what to pack right before the trip. (Kind of stinks since now we have a toddler. We went out and bought larger Summer clothes for him in case it's warm in February.) Fingers crossed for jeans and t-shirts weather with, at most, a sweatshirt at night.

I just ordered our tickets from parksavers. It was really fast and they allow cancellations up to 48 hours before your first day. I hope that isn't necessary, but it's comforting to me. The vouchers arrived within five minutes. I saved $52.

As for your question about the ornament, I forget specifically which store, but last September I bought ours in a store in Toontown. I can't be more specific than that though (sorry).

Shoot, I bring a (light) jacket for AUGUST evenings in Anaheim. :lmao: It's not always needed that time of year, but there have been years where I was very happy to have a sweatshirt or something similar with me...

So I would say definitely bring something for Feb.
