Tickets w/lottery code

I ordered the annual pass using the lottery ticket code for our Oct trip. Just curious if anyone has picked up their tickets recently. There was a discussion over the activation date (sept 4 or the day its activated). Also it did say for FL residence and since I am not a resident did anyone have to show proof are residence?

Since no one has answered you yet, we'll have to do a best guess. I used the lottery code, too, and I read everything on the website VERY carefully. What I got out of it was this:

You don't have to be a Florida resident, just have the lottery code. Anyone driving through could have purchased a Florida lottery ticket. They don't care where you live. They mailed my passes to North Carolina without question.

The promotion had to be activated (used) by 9/4 or 9/5 (can't remember which it was). The pass does not begin expiring until we take the tickets we received to Universal and present them in exchange for the pass, be it now or 3 years from now.

IF Universal were to offer a pass which expires one year after a specific date, they would have to be state this condition very clearly. While the purchaser has a certain responsibility to be sure what they're buying, the offerer has a responsibility to be clear about conditions of purchase; otherwise, it is called deceptive advertising and opens up a whole avenue of legal problems for them.

So you have not activated your yet either right? We did the, well crap can't think of the word, where we will take the paper down and scan it at universal along with our credit card and it will print out the tickets. I read the 'rules' too and wondered if i had to use the ticket by Sept 3 or just purshase it by then. I may of made a mistake but we did buy them and won't be there until Oct. 7th -15th. Thanks for your input.

No, I haven't activated mine yet, either. You're doing electronic pickup - again, their website says the ticket/pass will be held until pickup, no matter how long that is, so again, they would have had to be very specific in a time-limited situation. I think we're both okay with our first trips - mine could be November, December or not until April. I hope to get a couple of trips out of it. Have a great time when you go! Let me know what you find out, but I'm sure they don't start till we activate them.

Can't help you with the dates, but you will NOT be asked for Fla ID. We used it in August with electronic pickup. After getting the electronic tickets, you go to guest services and they make your actual pass in there with pictures.

We just got back from WDW/US/IOA. I purchased a preferred annual pass ($179) for myself (for the hotel discounts) and a regular annual power pass for DH, using the Florida Fantasy Five lottery discount code ($99).

Well, when we activated our APs, the guy said, "Okay, your's expires on September 23 next year, and your husband's expires on December 23 next year...it's a 15 month pass." I didn't see that ANYWHERE in the fine print! So it's nice to get more mileage out of his, but now I'll either have to renew or buy single day tickets if we go after September next year!

Boy thats good to hear! I was just a little nervous about getting there and being told 'gosh lady your a few weeks to late!'. Thanks for the update!
