Last year I stayed at the CR and everything was booked through a TA. Therefore, my room key, tickets, and dining plan were all on one card. Now that I am a DVC owner, I am planning on purchasing my tickets ahead of time from an internet company. (not sure which one yet) Would my tickets be added to my room key once I arrive at the DVC or will I have two separate things to keep up with? Thanks!

The CM should be able to add your MYW ticket to your room key if that's how you want to do it - shouldn't be a problem. If you purchased the DP that will be on the DVC room key as well.

Best wishes -

If you buy from an internet company, you will have two separate things to keep up with, a ticket and the room key. Dining plan can be on the room key if you decide to add it on. To have your ticket on your key, the ticket would have to be purchased from Disney and added to the key at check in.

Thank you! Should I get my ticket through Disney or are there reliable internet sites to purchase from? What have you done in the past and how was it?

That used to be true before the advent of the MYW ticketing system. You no longer have to purchase your ticket at check in to have it put on your room key.

I am aware that you can purchase tickets elsewhere and then have Disney put them on your room key at check-in. However, I buy 10-day no expiration tickets, and then use 3 or 4 days for a stay. Thus, I have always had use the 2-thing system (room key plus separate ticket). Any ideas as to whether or not they can put just 3 days of a 10 day ticket on a room key?

No but you just keep your room key as thats your ticket now. When you go back you can again have the balance of that added to your new room key.

Or just keep the tickets seperate and toss or scrapbook the room key.

No they cannot. But what you can do at the end of your stay is take your resort ID to Guest Relations and have the 7 unused days split off to a paper ticket if you would like.
