tickets from late seventies/early eighties

My wife and I were going through so old boxes and found tickets from when she was little and went to disney. It was like 79 or 80.

Anyway the ticket price for Magic kingdom was $10.50! And the tickets were not a one pass like today, but a booklet of tickets with different tickets being good for different rides.

Does anyone remember these and how they worked? Just curious. Thanks

Yep I sure do remember them! Whatever you do don't throw them out as junk!! They had tickets for each attraction that you would have to tear out of the booklet to ride. If I remember correctly the "E" tickets were for the most popular attractions.

You know, you actually could use that ticket for admission to the MK only, since that was the only park open at the time. Wow! I would keep it or maybe sell it on Ebay. If only we knew to buy lots of them back then, right?
I remember having to present the coupons at each ride back then!

I remember them as well. I think they had different colored or lettered tix for the different rides and if you ran out of that kind of ticket, you had to buy more. I also remember the passports you wore around your neck if you were staying onsite.

They are now collectors items.

If completely unused, including the "transportation ticket" still attached to the front, one book can be exchanged for a one day non-hopping pass similar to a one day basic MYW that can be used at any of the theme parks today.

I think you can still get cash credit towards modern tickets for incomplete books or individual coupons, I guess much less than on eBay. Something like 25 cents for an A coupon to 90 cents for an E coupon.

You used the transportation ticket first, as you boarded the monorail or ferry from TTC. (If you left and wanted to come back they used hand stamps.) Some multi day ticket books of that kind were issued also, those had more than one transportation ticket but still a finite number of ride tickets.

I remember the passports around your neck or pinned to your shirt as well. These were after the individual tickets. More like the beginning of the 80's I think.
