I have purchased tickets through getawaytoday.com - has anyone used them before? I have a confirmation and voucher to take to the ticket booth, but I guess I'm a bit worried that when we get the Disney people will never have heard of getawaytoday.com!

Thanks

I have used Getawaytoday for many years. Don't worry about anything like that. We do avoid the lines and get our tickets the night of our arrival date.

That's great to hear, thank you :)

I assume we just go to the regular ticket booth? Is this the same place as we'd pick up an AP ordered online? (The getawaytoday tickets are for my husband and daughter - I'm getting an AP for the discounts/parking).

You redeem the voucher at the ticket booths and the AP ticket inside the park. Or if you are staying at an on-site hotel, they can usually redeem the voucher for you when you check in, saving you the time and hassle the ticket booths can bring.

For your AP, they should have sent you a ticket with a barcode on it. Use that ticket to gain access into the park. Once you are in the gates, go to the right, and past the stroller rental place. The AP offices will be to the right after you walk out from under the tunnel. They will take that ticket you used to gain access to the park and turn it into your AP.

Thanks :) I haven't actually ordered my AP yet - I'm waiting in the hope that the exchange rate will hit $2/£1 again sometime soon! I aslo couldn't decide whether to print it at home or get will-call, though for some reason will-call is £2. Does anyone know if there's a reason to pay $2 rather than just printing them myself?

As for redeeming the AP, does that have to be done as soon as you enter the park? Or could we hit the rides first then pick up the AP later? I'm guessing we'll have to pick it up straight away in order to be able to get fastpasses that day?

They're awesome. We've used them and had zero problems. Enjoy your trip!

We've used them before too and never had a problem. And I want to say there was a particular ticket booth that they sent us to to redeem the vouchers. Does that sound familiar to anyone else?

We always go to the ticket booths. I don't know if it is different during the day but, we usually go at night to redeem our vouchers.

LOL, we got our Seaworld tickets from them for our trip in April and I certainly had the same fears. But it went off without a hitch, obviously it will for you too.

Goodness dont worry about a thing... I only book with getawaytoday.com for my passes. They send you a receipt with a confirmation number on it, and you bring that to the park ticket booth with your ID and they hand you your passes.

Another thing getawaytoday asks you for is your email address... give that to them for sure. They send you a confirmation email incase for some reason you dont get your receipt before your trip. All you do is print out your electronic receipt which is the same thing they would send you in the post mail and you bring that to the ticket booth with your ID.

This just happened to me unfortunately, but everything now days is done electronically. Even getawaytoday said they are affiliated with disney and so they send Disney your confirmation electronically so there are no hassels. They even say for when you get to the disneyland ticket booth to call them if there is a problem and they will sort it out for you without a hassel.

I like to skip the extra step with the ticket booths and buy straight from Disney. I did not notice a price difference, so what would be the advantage?

Thanks,

I bought our tickets because I couldn't find 8-day hoppers offered anywhere else, and the price difference was fairly minimal for the extra days (it was a total of $209 per ticket for 8 days). We're AP holders in Disney World, so we're just used to being able to hop into and out of the parks any time we want to for our entire trip. We wanted to be able to do that during our 10-day visit to Disneyland, even if it's just to go in for a meal or the fireworks or something.

I'm glad to read others' experiences though - I just got our receipt today and got really worried when there were no tickets inside. Happy to hear we should be good to go!!

I have purchased our DL vouchers through Getawaytoday twice before. No problems. In fact, I used Getawaytoday for our 2000 DL vacation...purchased everything through them....there were 13 of us! Not one hiccup. They are a great company.

I bought our Knott's Berry Farm and Medievil Dinner Show tickets through them for this trip. I received a voucher that I will turn into the ticket booth at Knott's and at the door when we go to Medievil.

What I was looking for is a reason to have a middle man involved in the ticket transaction. I have heard great things from most posters just not sold on why go to a ticket booth when there is no advantage.
Disney does offer multiday>5 PH tickets.

Do they? I couldn't find them offered anywhere...it's too late for me now, but can you send me any information you have on non AP tickets that are more than 5 days? I'm just curious about the prices compared to getawaytoday.:)
