Tickets from Disney.com

Hi,

I was just about to order our passes online from the Disney website but the usual "lock" showing the transaction is secure is not there on the bottom of the screen. Has anyone else ordered their tickets through the website? Any problems? I couldn't find a phone number to call and wondered if the rate was only for online purchases?

Hi Vicky -- I had the same question and sent an email to Guest Relations. Here's the reply that was sent to me.

itself does not show the lock, the transmission of data from this page is secure
and once you proceed to
the next screen (verification before charging) you will see the lock.

We continue to work to make sure that all of our guests feel secure using our
website. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have
caused.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if
applicable on all correspondence.

Unfortunately this didn't make me feel any better. So I made my reservation over the phone.

If you didn't have to put your credit card number in until the verification page with the lock on it, I wouldn't feel insecure but you hear of some much fraud and theft because of unsecure sites online that I hesitate! Since there are many other options for purchasing tickets it certainly makes you think about choosing a different option!
Did you purchase passes by phone or make hotel reservations?

For what it's worth, I ordered tickets for the Halloween party from Disney.com on two separate occasions. I have a firewall setup that will not transmit my credit card information unless it detects a "secure" website. Both times the transaction went through fine with no warnings from my firewall. And I know it works because I was about to order something this morning, forgot to check for the lock icon, and my firewall popped up to tell me the site wasn't secure and it wouldn't transmit.

Thanks so much!! Yes it does help to reassure me! It makes a difference knowing others have bought tickets through the website without any problems and felt it was secure! You just can never be too careful these days!
