Does everyone in the party need to have tickets linked to their names to make FP+ selections or is only 1 needed? Have room only reservation and sister wants to buy tickets once at WDW.

each person would need tickets attached to MDE to make FP reservations.

From every thing I have read, everyone one would need a ticket to make FP+ for each person. 1 ticket would only allow you to prebook FP+ for one person.

Agree with vicki_c & mom2mickeyfan

I suggest that you order all tickets early (designate "Will Call" pick-up,)
put the confirmation number(s) into MyDisneyExperience and
then be able to make FP+ reservations as early as 60 days before check-in at the resort.

sort of on the same daughter, can people order different number of days. One only wants two days and the rest want to go parks four days.

That should work. You enter each ticket into MDE and connect it with a specific person.

I chatted with a CM about a similar question. Was told I could make my FP and when got in Park they could copy my selections to my friends account. But it might not be an exact time match, just a 45 minute overlap. So if I had SM from 1-2, they would try to match exactly but might end up with a start of 12:45 (earliest) to 1:15 (latest).

Yup, that's the IDEA, anyway.
But, I wouldn't count on that aways actually working, even in the limited way described.

If it is important to have multiple guests with the same FP+
(to some it might be or might not be important,) I'd just order tickets (as "Will Call")
for all involved, and make all the FP+ reservations at once, in advance.
