Tickets come with room?

I've heard that at the Boardwalk that you use your room key as your ticket to MK. Is this true? Does any room/resort offer discounts on tickets with your purchase? What is the best route to get tickets and rooms at WDW resorts? Please respond if you have experience in this area.

If you purchase the package with the ultimate park hopper included then your ticket is the room key, this would apply to any of the resorts. I also believe that if you buy your park hopper pass upon check in they can apply that to the room key as well.
You can purchase the park hoppers in advance through Disney or Ticket agencies. The ultimate park hopper can be bought when you purchase your package or when you check in.
Right now WDW is offering the stay 7 nights, pay for 5 nights, this is a good deal. It is available from 7/5-11/18, you must book this by 6/28.
Generally it is cheaper to not book the package deals, especially if you plan on going to Univeral or Sea World instead of WDW each day.

The ultimate park hopper ticket that comes with all packages can be encoded onto your room key. Some other tickets can be put on there as well.

You do pay for the tickets and the room, they just make it more convenient for you to carry.

They can also allow your key to be used as a charge card at Disney stores and restaurants.
