Man, our December trip has really snuck up on us. We leave in 2 weeks for 1 night stay in AKL, and then 8 days at The Swan. We are doing 1 day at AKL with a Savanaha View because we were able to change our schedule to add one day at the begining of our trip, and decided we could afford the view since it was just one night, luckily we get the Magical Express to bring us to the AKL. But we still need to get from the Swan back to the Airport at the end of our trip. Its just my wife and I, 3 total bags, and my wife isnt a fan of regular Taxis, does anyone have a recommendation for a Town Car one way ride for the 2 of us? The cheaper the better :)

Next question is, when we check in at the AKL, just for the night, is is possible to buy our 8day Park hopper tickets then, and have then put on the room card and have them work even after we check out for the rest of our Swan stay? I really dont like the idea of Paper Tickets and love the hard plastic cards, but i know the Swan doesnt do them, and i am running out of time if i have to order from Undercover Tourist.

Thanks

In the days before ME most peolpe used Mears (Big yellow busses). I would check with the front desk at the Swan when you check-in about arranging a trip back. If you want a towncar type service, which may or may not be more, there should be somebody at the Swan that can help you, or take a look at the transportation board. There is a lot of info there.

As far as the tickets go, I am pretty sure if you buy them at AKL they will put them on a card and they should work until the days are gone. People buy 10 day non-expire tickets all the time so the ticket is good until you use all the days, this trip, next trip or 20 years from now regardless of check-in/out date.

As far as the "paper" tickets go, they are really made of some type of mylar material and pretty durable. I prefer them to the cards since they change the design fairly often and the wife is a scrapbooker. We just put them in a sleeve and never had any problem with them.

Sorry if I got long winded here.

I don't know if AKL will add them to your KTTW card if you are only staying 1 night. But we have APs which are made of the same thing as the regular park hoppers and they are pretty durable, plastic coated cards. Our APs have survived 3 separate trips.

We have used UT for tickets, great service. Most people suggest using them at a park once before trying to add them to your KTTW card. You could also try Guest Relations at the parks to see if they will put them on your KTTW card, but really you'll be fine with them the way they are. You can also buy them at AKL, but as you know, they'll cost more. I have heard of people being able to put tickets bought from UT on to the KTTW cards.

I use DME so don't know much about the town cars. Maybe you can get more info about them on the Transportation Board threads.
