Tickets and Split Stays...

Question:

We are thinking about arriving a night earlier and unfortunately their is no availability in the room that we are currently booked for. With that being said, we are interested in staying at AoA for that one night before switching over to the VGF, but I am confused with the ticket situation... If we do a RO and buy our ticket for HS the cost is $90(before tax) then the next day start our 5 day park pass @$289(before tax) that total would be $379 for our tickets for 6 days. My question is, when we check in on saturday for one night, can we do a MYW package with a 6 day park pass @$299(before tax) and have the remaining 5 days worth of tickets added to our KTTW card after checking in at the VGF??

There is a process for early ticket pickup if you actually have a package. 15i in the Ticketing FAQ:

But, there are no MYW packages for DVC points reservations, we are always BYOT (bring your own ticket) the concierge can still add your own ticket to a KTTW. Just buy a 6 day ticket to begin with. If you already bought a 5 day, you can upgrade ($10+tax) to a 6 day before all days have been used.

Right now there is an advantage to keeping your KTTW and ticket seperate, if you link your ticket to your MDE profile, you can get FP- with both your ticket and KTTW. (But who knows how long that will keep working)

With DVC, you don't have to have tickets with your reservation, so just buy a 6 day ticket and start it the first night. There is no need to buy it as a different ticket.

We never put our tickets on the KTTW cards, even when they are not annual passes, so I am not sure if they will be able to load a ticket that has been used for one day on the KTTW card when you check in to VGF.
