Tickets and Dining after Reservations

Hi

I am going to upgrade my disney holiday and buy the package where it includes dinner. Does anyone know how this works - as I have paid for the hotels with one credit card and will use another for the dining and park tickets. I assume it is just an add on?

If you have room only reservatons, you will have to convert that to a Magic Your Way Package with dining. The dining is linked to the number of nights you have at your hotel, not the park tickets. You can book the package for say 7 nights with 1 day tickets, BUT 7 nights of dining.

It will have to be paid for all together, as it will all be bundled together.

Can you not upgrade and buy both when you arrive then as another option?

If you upgrade I assume it doesnt affect the room price you have already paid?

No, you will have to cancel your room only reservation and then re-book the package. They will be able to apply what you have already paid toward the new package. However, packages have to be paid in full 45 days in advance of arrival, I believe. So if you have less than 45 days until you arrive, they will require immediate payment for the entire package at the time to book it. I'm not sure if they are able to cancel and re-book when you get there. I would recommend calling to ask if that is possible. Otherwise they may end up treating your "switch" as room only cancellation with less than 24 hours notice which would cause you to loss your deposit, even though you are just re-booking a package.

How far away is yout trip? If it is close, you want to be sure that you can get ADR's for the Table Service (TS) restaurants you wish to eat at. Some restaurants have been completely booked well in advance. You can look at menus at allearsnet.com and decide where you would like to eat. Then you can call Disney Dining to insure that there is availabilty for you. Just a thought.

I have made reservations for all the restaurants that we want to eat at - the booking at the time did not allow me to add the dining package!

It is a pain that they have to cancel the booking as I have split the booking on 2 cards!

I have just come off the phone to Disney - you do not have to cancel your original booking and start again to add the dining package. They will modify the booking to add on this addition. Therefore you can just pay the difference of the tickets and the dining to what you have already paid for your room.

They also said that you need to add this at least 2 weeks prior to arriving so that the vouchers can be sent to you.
