Tickets and DDP with room split

We will be splitting our time between two resorts. I understand I have to get a new set of tickets and ddp when we change to the new resort. We are checking in and getting our cards so we can go to the parks(day 1).

Now that 1st resort is three night so we have three TS, CS and snack which will run out the day we check out. That is fine because we will have exhausted that plan on our 3rd night stay w/ nothing in the morning.

Here is the question(sorry had to set this up) can we check into our new resort and have our tickets and ddp applied before we actually get our room?

Yes, you can certainly check into the second resort and you will receive your kttw cards with the dining plan encoded onto them. You can then use the DDP credits that day you arrive.

If you are staying on DVC points, you don't need to get the tickets with the plan. It would save money to get tickets for the entire stay rather than 2 separate tickets.
