Reading about how the new biometrics will "tag" tickets as a family group if they are all in serial number sequence. I am wondering if I order from ticketmania, if the tickets will be in serial # sequence?? I would just like to have all of our 4 tickets interchangeable, so that I don't have to keep track of who's is who's. Plus if my husband, doesn't take the next trip, I could also use what's left of his, correct?
I had the same thoughts as you. My understanding is that if they are
purchased as a group, the bioscanners will recognise any
member of the group with any
ticket from the group. In practice, each person is supposed to use only the ticket they have signed at first use. if the CM at the turnstyle were to question anything, they could check the signature on the back of the ticket and ask for matching ID.
I bought our 4 tickets from Ticketmania - all adult 7-day non-expiring passes without park hopping. When they arrived, they were
not numbered in a sequence of four. Each two had sequential numbers with each other, but not all four in a row. I was disappointed that they didn't have the characters on them, like when we last went in 2000. They are geared for the Happiest Celebration, but I think they are quite bland looking.
Well, I just got them out to look at the pictures again, and I realized that they have two different
issuing dates on them. I ordered them on 5/9/2005, and the dates on two of the tickets are 5/2/05, and on the other two are 5/16/05. I wonder what's up with
that? Maybe they printed two out on the 2nd and then didn't sell them??? I think I'll email Ticketmania to see if these will still be considered a "group" by Disney.
