ticketing downgrade question

heading to disney tomorrow with my brother. Instead of having him buy a ticket can I go to guest relations to get them to reassign an unused 3 day child ticket that I have on my disney experience account to a two day adult ticket with park hopper? I would lose about $20 but that's ok with my but will disney let me?

I'd be surprised if they did that, but it won't hurt to ask.

This is a lot of conjecture on my part, but I'd guess that they'd let you upgrade it to an adult ticket and probably even add the hopper, but I bet they wouldn't let you basically take the value of a 3-day and convert it down to a 2-day. It would still be a lot cheaper than a brand-new ticket, but not the near trade-in you're looking for.
