Can we use a non hopping, non expiring WDW ticket to get into Disneyland or California Adventure?

Thinking about California this summer.

Thanks!

Others have reported being able to use WDW passes at DLR. You need to bring the pass to guest services and they will deduct one day from your WDW pass and give you a one-day ticket to DL. I'm not sure if the one-day DL ticket allows hopping to DCA.

Could I possibly do 2 days Disneyland and 1 day California Adventure without the hopping feature? I realize we would have to line up each day to trade in our tickets.

Yes you can do it and you actually don't have to go to Guest Services or a ticket booth. Just go right up to the gate and they'll call a supervisor over to make the swap. Since you don't have hoppers, you'll get a 1-day 1-park ticket in exchange. Just line up for which ever park you want to visit that day.

I will be at WDW in 2 weeks to upgrade my 10 day tickets. Should I get the hopper feature or not? Only time we hop in Florida is when we go to Animal Kingdom in the morning.

We are planning on going to DL early August. We tour hard in morning and stay til park closing.

Will we be ok doing 2 days DL and 1 day CA? I have read about crossing over to get fast passes at both parks. Could we do all the headliners at least once without hoppers?

Thanks.:flower3:

The only reason I could see for upgrading to park hoppers would be because I personally can't spend a whole day at DCA. That park just doesn't keep me interested for more than a few hours.

But if you are at each park at opening, between the 2 days at DL you'll be able to see the 'headliners'. Same with the 1 day at DCA. Also, go ahead and get Fastpasses, that will help with the summer crowds.

Taht ad that DCA closes earlier and is open at a later time. I had to go home for to feed mom then come back to the parks. I headed back to DL and saw Fantasmic instead of trying to fight the crowds at DCA.
