We already purchased our tickets 10 day with water park option, but we are having 2 people join us for 1 day at MK. They want us to get tickets for them at the gate. They are Florida residents and just going for that day. My ? is can I get them ahead of time say a couple of days before, or do you have to buy 1 day for use that day only? Being as they live in Florida will they get a discount? Would it be better for them to purchase them when they arrive? How long will the line be? How much are the 1 day tickets at the gate? Thanks for your help!

There is no discount on a one-day ticket for FL residents -- the price is $67.10 for a one-day, one-park, expire in 14 days ticket. You could buy it ahead of time, but I would make sure they were coming so you don't get stuck with their tickets. If you decide to let them wait until their arrival date, the lines shouldn't be that long. Most folks are buying their tickets ahead of time -- either from on-line from Disney or an outside vendor or have even bought them at their resort.

Actually, there is indeed a small discount on a FL resident one day ticket. They get 10% off which translates to $60.39 including tax. They also are able to add the PH option to a one day base for an additional $10 + tax.

There is a discount for FL residents and they will need to buy the tickets and show their FL ids to get them. The ticket booths open at least an hour before any of the parks so they should be able to get tickets and still get into the park before it opens.
