I purchased four 6-day parkhopper tix for my family's upcoming trip. Now it looks like we're going back within the year, so I'd like to upgrade them to annual passes. Can I still get the DVC discount on them? How would I go about this?
Yes you can upgrade them within 14 days of the first day of use and the year will start from the first day of use. Yes with your member cards you can get the DVC discount.

Use the parkhopper tickets at least once before you go to Guest Services to do the upgrade. That will "lock in" any discount you received when you initially bought those tickets. If you upgrade an unused ticket, the value will be only what the ticket seller paid Disney for the ticket.
For more information, go to the theme Parks Board and read Cheshire Figment's post on
Posts #7 & 15D of that thread has the upgrade info. Cheshire Figment is a WDW CM who is very knowledgeable about tickets. You can take his info to the bank, LOL.
If you want the DVC-discounted pass, be sure to bring your DVC membership card along.
