Ticket upgrades and free dining

Just a quick question. If I upgrade my tickets to APs from the FD package, would it affect my resort reservation and DDP? Just wondering as we want to buy the TiW card the first day we are at the parks.

I'm curious why you would need a TiW card if you have free dining?

But once you check in, you should be able to do anything you want with those tickets.

I upgraded my ticket that we bought with our Free Dining package to an AP last fall (on the first day of our visit). I did it at DTD but you could do it at any Guest Relations location.

We want to get the TiW card for our next trip and also want to use it for any extras that the DDP doesn't cover.
